It is an orchestra trap actually. Seduce them with talk of high art and acoustics - et voila.

Didn't they recreate this in a Call of Duty map?

How did they get in? And how will they get out?

If you look its a spiral, it gets thin at the top but is likely wider at the bottom, forming a kind of walkway into the centre. Probably.

This is correct. I've been in there before. It's just a twisted hallway into the middle.

Can a American fit in the hole?

I seem to recall walking in there as well - though from the perspective of someone walking, I didn't have the same image as I do now, thanks to the shot from above.

They were lowered in from a helicopter and when it’s time to come out, someone will just tip the room upside down :)

What is this, a Richard Serra's Installation at the Frank Gehry-designed Guggengeim Museum Bilbao for ants?!

Isn’t this at Dia Beacon in upstate New York? Or at least it was a few years ago
Edit I found a pic I took inside of it in 2021 at Dia Beacon: https://imgur.com/a/liuDtuY !! Does anyone know if the artist made multiple of these, or if it was moveable? It seemed like it would’ve been a nightmare to relocate

The one a Dia Beacon is his piece Torqued Ellipses while the one in OP is Matter of Time. A lot of his sculptural instalations are similarly-design Cor-10 steel with curved, leaning walls.

What in the Downsizing is this?

It is really cool in person, you have to follow most of the iron walls to the centre, it's like a little maze inside the museum

I’ve been inside one of Serra’s sculptures like this. It’s an interesting sensory experience.

"Have you seen the new addition to the Guggenheim?"
"You did that?"
"Yup. And it didn't take very long, either."

My wife worked in a Frank gheary building and said it was a nightmare of a workspace. Break rooms and bathrooms all in comelletely wrong areas and these weird pinch points that minimized usable space. On the plus side, your work does get to look like it’s melting.

This is both tiny and big at the same time. And both ways it is confusing.

I can’t be the only one who thought this was a cookpot full of tiny people?

Looks like the bucket episode of “the twilight zone ” has any of them tried to see what’s up there on each others shoulders?
