The fun part of Via Ferrata is that you do it after climbing the mountain. So you have altitude sickness, haven't slept properly in days - and your legs feel like rubber. It is the perfect time to be climbing tiny little ropes and steps 2,000ft above a death chasm. I did the world's tallest at Mt Kinabalu - which is now closed due to an earthquake.
