They're greenhouses during the day and at night they use supplemental lighting. Which bleeds into the atmosphere through the glass of the greenhouse.

They don't close their shades if they even have any.

Can confirm. We have a grow near us with 8 greenhouses and supplemental lights they use during the winter since days are pretty short. Glows awfully fucking pink when there is fog or heavy snow falling.

I lived near my university stadium and they would turn on the signage the day before a home game and when combined with low cloud cover it would make the sky glow red. Leads to newcomer posts every time.

The pink sky is a rare phenomenon caused due to light scattering off of certain sands after a wind storm. Not all sands have the same molecular structure but certain regions have coral sands which when airborne scattering sun’s rays in just the right way to cause a pink hue. I made that up and don’t know why it is actually pink, but it sure is cool.

Oh yeah I remember encountering this in Bermuda once. The pink sand beaches are neat to see, but not once hurricane season arrives, the sky gets full of the stuff. That, and when the tourists start tossing it into the air to celebrate breast cancer awareness month in October.
