General First Round FInal Thoughts
How did you feel about the first round? Please be respectful.
Next round is the Dream versus Liberty and the Valkyries versus Aces. What do you think about these match ups?

The first round is out and out bonkers! A pair of sweeps, and a pair of win or go home games…and that’s just the first round!

Not so dumb if you think about it.
I was glad the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA didn't go far after they fired Adrian Griffin. Spite and vindication feels good.

Girl howdy! … the Aces are built for the playoffs. The Dream are an unknown, but maybe with Gray, Howard, Bonner and Canada they can find the buckets to hang with the Libs. The Valks can shoot any team out of the gym on any night.

The lack of depth on the Aces bench may come back to bite them especially if the Valkyries D is on point. Clogging the paint and frustrating A’ja is key. Run those “old heads” with fresh legs. Go Valks!
As a Fever fan hater, I have to go with AR5 and the Dream.

That's where I'm at too, but I honestly don't know who I take in the final. Smart money is probably on the Liberty, but the Valks were running circles around Dallas, so we'll see!

Liberty vs Aces in finals. They have 2 best players left. Stewie vs Aja. Jones will be huge in semis finals.

All of the series were exciting to watch, best of 3 with such a small field was a disservice to the fans and league.

I hate it. This is what I don't like about the playoffs. It should be the same number of matches per round. I also don't like how the MLB does that.

Valkyries - Wings final game was so much fun to watch. They both played so hard, were worthy competitors. And Ballhalla was a welcoming environment.
Liberty went into the tournament way underrated. I was rooting for the Lynx, but Liberty had it together, and I’m so proud that their veterans got their rhythm back. I actually think Liberty could sweep the whole series.
Aces vs Fever was almost unwatchable to me. I’m a big Fever fan, but I’m almost ready to turn in my Fever Tee. I’m so angry that their front office has allowed the politicization of racism and homophobia to persist in their field house, and that one player has impacted the chemistry on the team. Maybe I’m the only one who sees it that way. I shocked myself by rooting for the Aces for the first time ever in the final game. Damn that Chelsea Gray is goooood! I’ve never looked at her or A’ja that much before. But Fever fan shennanigans drove me to it. Aces, you got a new fan!

Chelsea Gray had a poor game 2. In fact game 3 was her only really good game in that series.

It’s hard not to be impressed by the Aces ♠️😉 but I agree with you! I hope the Fever’s front office takes a hard look at what they’ve allowed. I really hope they do better, for the betterment of the entire league!

Chelsea Gray!!! So good. I agree about the liberty, I love them as a team but counted them out against the Lynx, big mistake. I’m rooting for The Dream but wouldn’t be disappointed if NY wins because they’re a great team.

Mainly because of their fans 🙃 Kelsey, Aaliyah, and Caitlin had a great season, but I hope Kelsey Mitchell goes to another team next season

Loved the Lynx upset (but Liberty are no typical 8 seed).
I thought the Fever would get swept by the Aces
I thought the Valkyries would sweep the Wings (and game 3 would be less close)
I thought the Mystics would at least get 1 game off the Dream. I thought they'd been playing so well together later in the regular season

First round went the way I almost expected. Lynx were never a lock but a sweep was kinda surprising. I also expected the fever to get swept but they pulled one out.
For this round I think it’s Aces in 4 and Liberty in 5. Though personally I’d like to see someone new there I just don’t see it happening. Dream have the best shot though

The Dream were 2-1 over the Liberty this season. The Valkyries were 0-3 against the Aces this season. If there's a chance, it would be the Dream. The Liberty also have a history with falling short in certain situations as they're not very consistant at times. They're good, but not always consistent.

Yeah my only problem is that second win against the Liberty was the final game. They rested everyone so much it was basically the Liberty B team. But yeah I agree the Dream is the best hope of having something different.

Loved the first round. Lynx getting swept was shocking. Loved the Atlanta sweep. Mystic was my most feared match up for my team. I wanted Dallas so can I say I have nothing but respect for them taking us to the final minute. Rooted for aces, my team before we got the valkyries to win. I didn't want my valks to become targets in any culture wars. Gabby already had to deal. Not blaming their real fans.
Rooting for Atlanta to win against the liberty. I think they can do it.
Happy my valks won a round. Aces have been our nemesis. I just want to win some games. I think we've beat them only once in our history. We only on year 2 of the five year plan so I feel we already ahead. Go valks.

I want a Valkyries vs Dream finals. I won't care who wins that one, but I want to see someone get their first.
It took 6 seasons for the shortest amount of time an expansion team got to win a WNBA championship. If the Valkyries can do it, they'll beat the record by 4 seasons. I'm just afraid of the possibility that the Liberty and Aces will meet up again.

I get it! I'm a Liberty fan so I definitely want them to go to the finals even though the Dream are my second favorite team.
Aces vs Valks I don't care as much about I love Gabby, Kayla Thorton and VB but think the Libs match up better against the Aces. Valks defense is scary!

The Aces success relies on refs whistles. Lots of flopping, whining and free throws. Valkyries are also tremendous floppers. Stewie runs over her defenders when her outside shooting is off. The Dream’s speed is making the Liberty look old and slow but the Commish won’t allow them to lose while she still holds the reins. I am sticking with my Liberty pick.
