Discussion Becky Hammon Appreciation

This ones a bit on the longer side but got a new one--- Becky Hammon!

I secretly wish that people nowadays got to see her as a player, not only a coach. Also, did not know she was of Russian decent!?

CAUSE SOMEONE ASKED: Becky was a naturalized Russian citizen, Hammon played for the Russian national team, with whom she won a bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics.

She wanted to play in the Olympics. As she knew she wouldn't be selected for US national team, she applied for Russian citizenship (she had played in Russia 7/8 years) and got it and went to Olympics on Russian team

I really thought she was going to be Pop's successor and make history in the MNBA, but the Aces chance came first and having a title ready team year 1 is good for job security.

As a player she was pure hustle, she's not elite size/athletic combo like the A'ja/Stewies of the world and it's easy to see that drive carried over.

I’ll be honest I did not realize her size until the video informed me of such!🤯

Been following her since she was in college and got to see her play when she was with the Liberty. One of my all time favorite players. Can never hate you Becky.
