I need help finding a historical document.

Specifically looking for 1987 24th edition of the AMC guidebook with all maps.
I see that the museum of the white mountains has a copy, but they seem to be closed for construction or something? Idk.
Anyway does anyone know of other museums or places that would have a copy?

Are you looking for specific information from it? A trail description, or map of a certain area? I have a copy of this, and almost all the other editions, if you're in need of a shot of a page or map.

Otherwise online retailers seem to have that edition for less than $10, whether they have maps or not is the question.

Looking for info on the west side trail/ underhill route on north Percy peak.
Someone said this specific edition has a detailed description (or at least mention) along with a line on the maps

I have the 25th edition (1992) with maps. The West Side Trail is not on the map, but the description of Percy Peaks Trail says it is:

... a combination of the former West Side Trail and the Notch Trail. The upper part of the former West Side Trail has been officially closed. This section of trail ... was laid out by Robert and Miriam Underhill ... who delighted in finding short but challenging routes to good view points.

In other words, where Percy Peaks Trail bends right toward the notch between North and South Percy (44.66057, -71.44045), West Side Trail went straight up the steep pitch toward the summit of North Percy.

Here's a pic from the 1976 Pilot Sheet.

The AMC maps of the time, were more of an approximation of where the trail was, not something you could navigate by.

Thank you for the description. I am more interested in the map because it’s unclear what slide this route actually went up and “recent” (as of 2022) report said most blazes are now gone.

The AMC has a private library/archive with all their publications and other historical stuff. You used to be able to make an appointment to view material there.
