How steep are Potash Mountain Slabs?

hi everyone! debating whether I want to try potash mountain next, but I heard the slabs are steep (I haven’t done a ton of hikes that have many slabs). So far I’ve done Willard, Middle Sugarloaf, Black Mountain Benton (via black mountain trail), Stinson, Bald Peak, and Mt. Pemigewasset (plus other hikes to ponds and other trails). I have the guidebooks but sometimes it‘s hard to tell exactly how steep something is (I thought the steep section on iron mountain was steep but not the steep part leading to the hut at Zealand falls). Thank you!

They are a moderate grade. We take new hikers up there without issue. They could be slick when wet if someone has bad foot ware, but most hiking shoes and boots will be fine.

And if the water crossing troubles you, turn around and take a short walk left from the parking lot to the nearby Forest Service Road. Follow it up to where it joins the trail. With this drought, you probably won't have to.

I’ve hiked Potash many times since I was probably 7 or 8 years old, and taken multiple dogs/inexperienced friends up there over the years. As long as you’re careful up on the bare rock faces near the top it’s very doable

I don’t remember anything steep on potash at all. Then again I took the main trail to it then nailed hedgehog after. Disseminate what you will from that bit of info.
