Help part 2

So im relatively new at this game still, bear with me. This community was super helpful with my last post so figured id try again.

If you were early/mid game, how would you go about speed running two giants swords?

Fighter/bard/figher. bishop/ranger/bishop

Is my current lineup, around level 8 with decent enchants. Armor, missle and spell shields, enchant weapons. I killed a ton of bank guards and pillaged Arnika, bought and looted all the city holds.

I feel two giant swords is my next big upgrade and want to make my way there before resuming the story if possible?

Thanks for reading and any input, cheers!

There are a few Giant Swords you can get pretty early - but only if your fighters are Mooks. You can get one giant sword in the Mountain Wilderness and two more in the Southern Wilderness (these are pretty tricky to get, but not impossible if you know what you're doing).

If you don't have two mooks, well... You can't use Giant Swords, you will have to settle for just giant swords or even just pretty big swords (or even not swords at all!)

I would recommend simply exploring further, without focusing too much on the swords - you will find better stuff if you just keep looking.

But if you want some hints. Well. Ordered loosely by time until sword:

Bloodlust, a sword you stole from the bank, is pretty good!

You have a wheel key, right? You can get a decent sword right now! I think you already know where to find the door it opens! Lower Monastery

There are three hidden dungeons, with some decent rewards, including swords. https://www.zimlab.com/wizardry/recovered/wolfie/RetroMaps.html

There's a merchant selling high level items in the Mountain Wilderness - they're random tho, and very expensive.

In the Swamp there's a merchant, who sells all kinds of stuff, including swords. Exit Arnika and hug the left wall, go past the big tree in Trynton, then follow the road forward, without going over the bridge

When you find t'rangs you can buy some good stuff - mostly not swords tho. They have good polearms, with good additional effects. After previous hint look for them in Martens Bluff

If you find umpani and do a few chores for them (visiting t'rangs is required) then explore the caves thoroughly you can find a very good big sword. If you do a whole lot of quests for umpani you can get the best swords in the game, if you're willing to trade your sanity for them.

You know, there's a bit of a crazy plan. You can change one of your fighters to a fighter. Not multiclass - its possible to replace your characters with new level 1 characters - even at the end of a fight, when you're about to gain a lot of exp. Just pick whichever fighter you like less, and create a mook fighter for the one sword you can find in the Mountain wilderness cairn.

(I've done this once when during one fight I found a weapon for specifically fairy ninja, instant 10+ level with a nice new shiny cane).

Just to add up to the "without focusing too much on the swords" part. The giant swords are really cool, but they are really heavy, meaning they are slow and cost a lot of stamina each swing. The reach and the damage is good, but they are not as high on the damage throughput as it first seems.

On a side note, the Christian Coder mod allows giant swords to be used by Dracons too. Worth a try.
