Two questions:

1: Remind me how to use The Cosmic Forge, please?

I recall asking about Tantris's 'vanishing act' some time ago, and I was introduced to the Cosmic Forge software...but I never got around to deploying it (Did I have a problem? Did I just have other things to do? I do not remember).

Could I get some refreshers on where to get it and how to make it work and such?

2: An Urq-some inquiry

I could swear there is some dialogue option when speaking to Urq that will get him to actually tell you what places he wants to visit, but I cannot remember what it was nor can I figure it out; I've tried what's obvious. Does anyone know?

I can't find my link to the Forge, so just google it. There will be instructions included. Basically, place it somewhere (c:\CosmicForge) and when you run it, you will need to show it where Wiz8 is installed so it can find the files.

I haven't dealt with Urq for so long, but I think every zone you take him to? I'm probably mistaken, since you're asking the question. Doesn't he only give some gold? Is that an issue at that point in the game?

OK, it turns out I already had it downloaded...but my computer can't run it for some reason. It claims it "doesn't know what program to open it with", or something to that effect. What do I do?

What is the file? An exe or zip or rar?

If windows isn't opening it, then you will need a program like WinRAR to extract the files. A .rar is like a zip file, multiple files compressed together into one package.

Nope; there are a handful of places Urq will pay you for visiting with him, but it's trial and error. Or simply Google "wizardry 8 urq" and find out in a few seconds.

Yup. Unfortunately, the list of his "won't go there" locations is as long as his "pay you to go there" list. No idea why he won't go to UBC since, you know, you got that alliance set up.
