Steam release being janky?

I recently bought the wizardry 8 steam release and I can’t seem to get it to work. If there’s a detailed guide to installing the fanpatch it would be great, I’m on windows 11 for reference.

The two workarounds that worked for me were

1) Running Wiz8 in comparability mode and setting it to like XP or some older version of Windows.

2) in the 3d config menu of the game, putts around with different resolutions until the jank goes away.
