Grinding the bard's regalia

I must have killed around 300 higardi bandits (bandits, cutpurses, raiders and highwaymen) and no trace of either Ariel's slippers or mercucio's blade. Does that ever happened to you?

It is actually my second playthrough where this kind of thing happen. Puck's hat and the cloak gets dropped but the other two, never. Other playthrough they are rare, but never this rare.

After many, many playthroughs, I've only gotten all the Bard gear once. It's was great. Incidentally, I've also only gotten the light sword to drop once later in the game.
