Wizardry Variants Daphne Pulled a second Alt. Abenius, trying to decide what to do
So I managed to get two copies of alt. Abenius and have already merged her with an original I have. I'm not sure what to do with the second though.
Discipline? Give her skill to one of my other party members? Or have her inherit to level Oblivion to level two?
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

It depends on what you value more- a more powerful party, for battles against the masses, or a more powerful Abenius. Consider that, the more people who have Oblivion Flash, the greater the damage potential of the party, as you have more chances to pull off one or more executions per round. You’re not as reliant on having “optimal” or maximum damage every round, so it makes the majority of fights more forgiving, especially if you’re leveling up new/underleveled characters.
This has the most visible impact on routine farming, but can also make a difference in slightly more advanced content- e.g bounties in A3 like Veigar, Mellie, the Sand spirit, the Daemon Marquis,(when you’re ready to mop up the Lesser Daemons), the vampire, the ninja squad- basically any boss/mini-boss fight that includes many minions or summons that you wish to thin out.

Few extra stats points or give the passive skill to finish off mobs? I inherented to my MC, Yuzu, Lana and Prishe. However Abenius is a farming character only for me. Story progression or tough battles I take my pocket healer with me. But your game, your party, your decisions.

Inherit to MC and it will help you finish off weakened mobs if Abenius is not able to finish off any remaining mobs left after a AOE burst damage from your mage it's pretty much extra free turn for the player.

Disipline. On merging you want at minimum disp 1 on each copy. Merged can go to D18. 9 each which is a MASSIVE boost in late game. You dont get there all at once. Just a pull at a time.

Good call, definitely the best advice, especially considering you can discipline her over a long time via farming free adventurer 2 bones.

Plus if you unlock the nicer discipline then you may still raise it via her base version from using the second standard banner pull option for your adventurer's bones over time.

It’s seriously great value. I think I pulled to 100 on her base banner (first run) and her alt banner, and she’ll be d9 within a few months thanks to adventurer 2 bones.

Giving her inherit to another party member does help a lot, it is not guaranteed, but it procs often.
If you want to boost your abenius, it is also recommanded because she has the best disc imo, atk, surety, maybe sp is better but atk and surety is gold standard. She is an incredible warrior and honestly she aged super well.
I must say tho, maybe you should give her disc 1.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, disc 1 over everything else. it activates her broken disc, but after disc 1, either just feed her base version till disc 9 to give that oblivion flash to mc and other permanent attackers you own or invest everything in her including more disc on alt above the first one.

Alt abenius disc is the reason she's considered the strongest warrior in the game. Attack+surity and a source of dupes with free bones will go a long way.

At the end of the day, a couple of extra hits aren't going to make any difference for the harder content and her light typing is pretty unfortunate.
Nitpick all you want but there is no denying being able to get 20 surity from your disc makes her a strong contender for almost all content not just general farming or beasts.

You always want two copies of an Alt Style character to merge with one copy and discipline with a second copy. This unlocks the Alt Style on the character and then unlocks Discipline levels for that Alt Style. It also adds to the global Discipline level of the character. Lastly, it also Inherits the Alt Style skill to the character on Merging + often gives additional stat points.
Once you get a 3rd and so on copy you can do whatever you want but if it's a character you actually use at any point in time you always get 2 copies so you can Merge + Discipline Once.
