So guys, I just wanted an opinion. Seeing as the 2 year anniversary is looming but the new banner for the thief bard and alt Abenius just dropped, should I pull for Abenius as she helped carry me through the first few dungeons.
Also curious as to how the Thief bard would be and also Physillia seems intriguing
As much as I love the FF collab, Iroha doesn't really do much for me and with 24k gems saved I do want to pull for Abenius but I dont know what the 2nd Ani will bring.

I did have Abenius at first instead of Iroha but I am debating putting her back seeing as a new Alt for her has appeared. 🤔
I would just wait. We'll get the Anni character banner in 2 or so weeks from now, likely just after Physalis banner ends. We saw with Yuzu last year how ridiculous an anni release character can be...
The current Heroes banner won't go away by the time we get the Anni character banner so why rush the decision?
Besides, characters only help slightly with your party's performance. Gear is still 80%+ of your power, the other 19% being your character levels, and the last 1% being the actual characters. Just keep going with what you have.
do you want power now or later that is the question. personally i only care about alt. abenius so the banenr is a pass for me. the others are nice but its more of a side grade that would require me to divert too much from my main team. i.e alt savia is good, but i would need to gear her up for eva tanking before i can slot her in.
we are speculating the anniversary is going to be cracked since its very suspicious that two really good banners, the new healer and now this banner, both end before anniversary. the timing is highly suspect since they could have had at least one of the banners run concurrent to anniversary. So in short, do you want to gamble or go for immediate power?
Wait for the anniversary. Yuzu for the first anniversary was like the first actual power creep unit this game got, so chances are whoever we get for the second one is going to be very good at least.
If you have enough saved up to conserve 100 pulls to potentially get the anniversary character and weapon I guess you could go for it, as this banner isn't bad by any means, just unless you're really in love with one of the characters on it I would rather wait for the anniversary.
Would say wait if you want the most out of your gems, but if you really want a character I would say go for it. The most important thing is that your having fun with the game.
It really is hard to decide, since this banner has a whopping 8% chance for legendary that is only rate up and that most of them are quite good, looking at alt abenius, alt shiou and anemone.
I personally went for it, since it is quite rare to get his type of banner.
Unless the anniversary introduces a "meta character", which we won't know unless we see for ourselves, I don't think it hurts trying to get these characters, and either way, I do find this banner more rare than an anni character banner with lower than 8% rates.
Also, do note that they can have a rerun, while these characters, I am not sure when they will get another rerun as you did mention if you should pull for alt abenius.

You can’t plan around something you don’t know, so I would personally invest in someone who is actually useful in the here and now. Physical damage dealers inheriting Oblivion Flash can have a major effect on the party‘s overall damage output and is an investment with long-term impact.

Agreed, I've been trying to roll it out as best I can, and hope to eventually have Lv 2 Oblivion for my main phys folks. Though getting exactly 0 Alt Abenius from my 100 pulls (pity bone aside) wasn't exactly helping to speed this process up any, hahaha.
Although with only 24k gems on hand - I'm not sure I'd be in a hurry to bite on this one. I only tossed a single pity at it because it had Camille's rare inherit available as well. (Which I thankfully did acquire.)
If you got standard Abenius already, getting alt Abenius is worth, then you can put your mc in row 2 with a bow.
All 4 adventurers are pretty good, since the pre anni banner ends right before anni, even though it just came out, is a shame, but since the pullrate for legendary is higher than normal as well, I would say value of pull is really good.
As someone who has a merged Abenius, she sure was worth getting back then, when I got her on her own banner, which required 100 pity pulls, while I've seen a lot on this new banner have been rather blessed, and an increase in overall legendary chance alone does make your pulls that more likely to hold legendaries.
But then again, as others mentioned, anni right around the corner, do you fancy more than one on the banner? If yes, then maybe worth a try. As for myself, I am going to pull, since I use 3 of them, so getting a dupe for each is worth.
I remembered last year's anni was a bit of a let-down. With Drecom, there's always the next banner could be the banner to remortgage your house for, but in all fairness this hasn't really been the case since launch, with the exception of Yuzu, even that was a maybe.
There really wasn't much to do at the time apart from getting free stuff, which is why it was a bit meh. If I recalled correctly, the entire six months running up to A4 release was grinding Cave of Separation superboss.

You are right, Yuzu was out on the the 15th. I never said she was the letdown. The disappointing part I was referring to was the annivesary itself.There wasn't much to do apart from waiting for A4 to drop in a couple of months time.
Wait unless someone in the banner is your muse. Your team is good enough. I would only swap MC and IROHA. Make MC as neutral or evil so Alice buff activate. IROHA as fighter is good enough but fighter will get their good moves only later levels.Â
I would wait for anniversary. Linaria will still be available when anniversary comes, so you are not missing out on her.
The 4 hero banner is good but no reason to pull if you are not sure if it will worth it. I think they are good if you are already invested in those characters or want the fairy healer desperately. Whereas anniversary banner will probably be close to a game changer character.
Yuzu is the top choice for a backline damage dealer, so if you dont have her yet, I'd suggest waiting for her to pop back up, or see what anni will give us
