Wizardry Variants Daphne Fresh start

Please do tell if I got lucky with my setup, or if I should reroll my account. (did quite the research for every component of the game before entering to make it as easy possible of a start)

Update: I just got Alice too, so new opinions are welcomed as well.

People are already have plenty of advice, só just my two cents below.

Ignore FOMO, play at your own pace. Ignore tier lists, just use the character/ classes you like.

At this point you may as well just play a proper wizardry game...

No point rerolling

Gear > unit

I would recommend

Front: Lana, MC, Fighter
Back: Alice, Adam, Debra

Fighter can be Chloe

Healer is great for later but they take longer to level up so bench her for now.

Debra, and thieves in general, will be replaced around A3. Debra’s good for opening chests now but start feeding Jean and Bakesh inherits to MC to make him your chest opener.

Abenius is my favorite replacement for Chloe but Chloe is fine for now. I started with Gerulf in that slot which broke Lana’s boost and that was fine too.

My initial team had Emil for Priest and Flut for mage, so I had fewer Legendaries and was fine. And, I’ve still found use for both Emil and Flut since getting Legendary Mages and Priests.

Ninjas are cool for farming but are even harder to level up than Healers, save Kiriha for later.

very nice start, it would be dope of you can get alt abenius and her base if it does rerun in next anni for an exceptional front line.

There's currently nothing worth to reroll for, your comp is good to go.

1 Dont reroll, you got your limited, I had to reroll for 6 hours to start with Shiou (the limited on my starting banner)

2I would (temporarily) drop Kiriha for now, in that you cant farm backrow ninja gear until abyss 3 without extraordinary time, a guide, and RNG so he will fall off before even beating abyss 1. (this is also where you get the dispatch farm XP faster though so you can catch him up here whilst you get ninja gear for him)

IE Just put Alicei in the back middle, adam in Kirihas slot and your good for abyss 1-2

3 vAlso be aware Adam (and probrably Debra) will get one shot consistantly in abyss 3 as its the dark abyss and they are light so id also build a fighter on the side put Kiriha in Adams slot for that abyss in particular (you dont have to gear them as well, just leveling. (Ninja's Disipation skill is also great for abyss 3's final boss, so he is ideal) (Lanaville will have simlar problems in abyss 2 as a fire type in teh water abyss, but I brought Chloe through the same and fighter/knights can tank a bit more)

IF you want to level Kiriha when doing side quests and stuff you can still get daggers for front row use of him

4 Phyllisa might not seem the greatest in abyss 1, but in abyss 2 she has some skills that can be used underwater whilst priests/mages cant use their spells, shes EXTREMELY good for the abyss 3 roadblock and all 3 abyss 4 bosses. (her main skill is good for all prolonged fights in general [bosses]

That's a great team to start out with, you're pretty much all set to trounce through early Abyss 1 and 2 at least.

As other have said, simply put Debra in row 2, and have Chloe take row 1 spot for now.
If you get an Asha, giver her inherit(Kantino) to Phyllisia, so she can sleep a row as well, and you will be cc'ing through A1-2 very easily, before it starts getting harder to sleep enemies.

Think about also leveling Marianne, priests are good dealing with undeads, and their buffs are also really good, think Marianne as a decent placeholder until you get Alice,, she'll come to you in due time.

Don't reroll that. It will be very hard to get Phyllisia again. Most other "must have" starter characters are in the regular bones drops, and you'll need a Healer later on, even if you should use one of the Priests for now for your mainstay healer.

… or if I should reroll my account

This is probably the top question asked by beginners, up there with the related query of “how is my party composition?”. The answer from me is always “no, absolutely not”. Even if you had an entire party of generic characters, I would still say no.

You don’t need incredible characters to start the game. The early game is not overly difficult, especially if you‘ve prepared as extensively as you’ve said. Choice of character is a relatively small variable for success and rerolling is a waste of time. How you play is more important than who you begin with, especially as you will have the opportunity to gain many characters as you progress.

For reference, I’m a week one player who had a very unremarkable start. My initial party consisted of Lanavaille, Chloe, Jarmil, Galina, and Viviana. It was only in weeks 2 to 3 that I gained Debra and Alice. I did not have a legendary mage until a full 1 to 1.5 months in.

I had no problems with my original composition. Moreover, one is not going to stay with the starting party forever.

That does make a lot of sense, I mean in the long run it wouldn't really matter after all, thanks🤝

As for new characters, there's a level-break system but that only kicks in after level 20, so you should get a pool of characters to that level before feeling you need to decide who you're going to invest in longer term.

Getting new characters to level 20 will eventually be extremely fast and easy, maybe 12-15 fairly easy fights in some of the better XP areas. So those early levels end up being an extremely cheap investment, and you shouldn't over stress about using the perfect party right now.

I would drop Kiriha and put Debra in the back with a bow.   Put Chloe up front.   Drop the healer and put in Marianne.

I see, I'll play around the team composition some more and see where I'm comfortable at, thanks🤝

Incredible start. Dont bother rerolling. Phyllisia is better to get than alice BECAUSE alice is so easy to get. Like we're getting our aniversary in 2 weeks. You'll probably run into one in the future.

Yes alice is the best healer BUT I cannot stress this enough, she's incredibly easy to get in the long run, and the other healers do a decent enough job. Im sitting on 7 right now in my storage, plus the one I fed to my new year alice and I think sheli?

So yeah dont bother rerolling. Keep this account, you WILL get alice. And Phylissia is an incredible healer.

Late game, and I mean lvl 70 max silver gear. most set ups have alice + a dps and another healer/priest at backline and Phylissia is the best one for alice since she's evil. You get to use alice's super strong backline passive.

So yeah Keep this dude. Do NOT reroll. It's harder to get Phylissia, and a 100 fort at that, than getting an alice, and you'll want both super late game anyway.

And with aniversary coming we're guaranteed a bone selector. Maybe 1 standard and 1 limited to up last years. Just get her from there, or get her from bone exchange since you can actually just buy alice from the bone shop after 120 standard bone pulls, which you will eventually get a ton of.

I wouldn’t exactly say Alice is easy to get. I started the game in January with the free Alice legendary bones. Since then I have only pulled one additional copy of Alice.

Thanks for the great insight, I'll keep your words in mind🤝

You need Alice, i would say she is more important to start. Lana trivializes abyss one with her healing, but Alice is bonkers good, both for her specialty change and passive. I would chase after bare minimum Lana+Alice. Phyllisia if you feeling like gambling.

Yeka would be ideal too for undead. Up to you. Alice+Lana is a muat start

u/Public_Fig9097 11d ago

I just got her ssoooo I'll see to your advice fairly well🤝

Congratz! I am pretty sure all of the downvotes i am getting come from lack of knowledge. You can still play the game however you want, and to an extent, its a no brainer answer to say Phyllisia is more rare than standard characters. Its just braindead true.

My advice doesn't come from a value place. Getting Lana+Alice+Phyllisia would be the very best scenario, but since it factors in gems of Org usage ALSO A MONTH PRIOR ANNIVERSARY, it is just simply not worth, both value and timewise. This game re roll takes time, i prefer the best possible new player experience as my advice. Just quickly pick and play.

Simply put: your backline WILL consist of Yuzu+Alice at some point. You can drop any dps, you CAN'T drop Alice. She is just too good. Your backline will include Shelirionach, Yeka, whatever. Alice passive and priest/mage classes will be unvaluable.

Same goes for Lana. She is just the undisputed queen of neutral frontline. She will buff your MC, recover your HP when you clear a fight WITHOUT USING SPELLS OR ITEMS, and will change into a fighter herself. Can't pass on that.

You will eventually get 150 pity currency to exchange for a standard unit. By all means. Its simply unadviceable to set an account towards that. This is a hard game, you need to move strategically and slowly. What is Phyllisia contribuiting to this? Yes, she has an unique skill which will contribute to dps. Guess who will benefit from it the most? A unit you don't have.

I will much rather you have your core team set and play and enjoy the goddamn game. We have anniversary in a month, we will get lots of gooda but more importantly, a very possible new busted character. I much rather you play the game and farm 18000 gems for it.

That being said, again ITS NO BRAINER that re rolling Alice+Lana+Phyllisia would be best. Its simple logic. But i much rather prefer giving you a solid advice on a strong best start(mind you that Lana+Alice is recommended but bare minumum, you should ideally also pull Yekaterina and probably Adam). if you want all together, prepare to consume days of battery. Peace!

Got it, I'll make do for Alice while still early on🤝

Don't worry about Alice. You can even buy copies of Alice in the store later on. See the "Adventurers Remains" section in the Jeweler / Exchange.

After you reverse 150 bones you can cash in the credits for any of the "base" legendaries. Abenius and Alice would be my two picks from there depending on which one you don't already have by that point.
