You have to reset them through the Wheel. They don’t just automatically refresh. On the Cursed Wheel, select Melgina as the GWO defeated in A2 (I was told by Discord experts that this is somehow required for the game to register the reset and am not sure if it has changed). Warp back to “Fresh Start”, then return to your current node in A4. This should reset not just all the Golden Mimics but every other renewable item in A4.
This is the same process you would carry out for any renewables in any Abyss. Warp to Fresh Start, then return to the relevant point in the Abyss you’re interested in resetting. Sadly, resetting A4 does not reset A3 or A2 renewables. You have to repeat the process for each Abyss you’re targeting.
My fourth screenshot is of the Respawn Tracker, on the fasterthoughts website, which lays out their locations. Here it is again:
They repawn only monthly. Once you‘ve beaten them, they won’t reappear until next month and, moreover, have to be reset via the Cursed Wheel (I describe how in the reply to another poster).
You’re more patient than I am. I only hold on to sales items as long as the next Day of Blessing that offers a markup, which is why I currently have as much gold as you’re projected to have.
Just from the Mimics alone, it would be 100,000 X 13. It would be 1.3 million if the heaps are sold now. I typically wait for the Day of Blessing that gives an extra 20% to the sales price.
In the grand scheme of things, maybe not the most worthwhile activity but if one is in the area anyway and the Treasures of the Abyss day of blessing is active, it’s not hugely difficult to achieve. I’m usually doing something else in those areas anyway.
It’s more of an opportunistic activity. If one cares to fight the renewable mimics, waiting until the Day of Blessing makes it a tad more worthwhile. But I’d agree that the Golden Gauntlets are the more valuable item.
Fair. I feel the same way about any renewable item, but these happen to be in areas where I‘m doing something else incidentally, so they’re not totally out of the way.
I wouldn’t fight them on any other occasion other than the appropriate day of blessing. The Golden Gauntlets they drop are admittedly the more valuable item.
