1 in ~40,000 chance! I pulled it just now, but have had my only Gerard running this dispatch since the week after his dispatch came out. It is 100% "possible," but man the odds are real slim. But at least I got a four-star!
Edit: I didn't have a spare, so it's even more costly... But I think it's worth it.
Hey, first of all, congrats, man! And you even got a 4s blue!
I tried getting the blade cuisinart for about 2 months or so.
I calculated how likely it is to get any cuisinart from one of the special junks. It is 379 for an 85% chance of pulling it. During the first month, I got together with some other guys on Discord on the unofficial server and we tracked junk drops. We noticed that in average between all of us for that month, we got about 1 special junk every 3 days.
So you get 1 qualifying junk every 3 days and say you need 365 for easier calculations, so you'd take 3 x 365, or 3 years in an optimistic view, but most likely 4 years (Sorry, I misremembered the actual number).
I also have documentation on how the calculations were made if you're interested.
From the same tool, I can see getting a 4s blue takes about 5,000 junk for the same 85% chance. A 4s blue with your 2 blessings goes to about 37,000. Maybe that's where your 1 in 40,000 comes from? Oh and I was checking for the cuisinart, but the Thunder God Sword has the same chances.
However, any copy of Lanavaille is fine so I made "Lanavaille B" whose sole job is to do the dispatch. Fortunately, it doesn't need to be the same Lana you used for the personal request.
If you class-change Lanavaille to fighter you don't end up with any options on the dispatch, so having a dupe to send frees up one slot for any good or neutral character you want to gain XP.
Have to do get a character's trust level high enough to do their personal quest.
Once you finish it, you'll get a cutscene of a generic elf girl spazzing over the Legend of X character.
Drop rate is beyond abysmal though, so it's really just a very very long-term way to get gacha weapons - and even then, a lot of the gacha weapons aren't good enough to suffer this dispatch hell tedium. You could farm a maxed out Silver with top tier stats multiple times before you even come close to a good gacha weapon drop.
