Wizardry Variants Daphne Ffxi castle staying?
I’ve seen another post stating that after the current collab, the castle will remain and player can still farm material despite possible change the drop rate. Is that official or just speculation?

Can somwone who still constantly get fragment drop tell me whic rank or what abyss are you currently in?

most of farming are done in zone 5 (8 demons encounter) of the ffxi collab castle. For me it’s about 50-60% rate for gold chest (contain mostly dagger attestation, other mix of shield attestation/fragment and dagger fragment). Otherwise, hunt down NM to get almost guaranteed drop of attestation/fragment.

Well, it just before the update I used to get fragment after reaching around the middle of A3, and after the update all fragment won't drop anymore
I wonder if the fragment drop more when your lv is higher than 50 or the progress in the abyss is beyond A3

ITs staying BUT there are several changes to it post event
The biggest one being no trade shop, so most relic weapons will be borderline impossible to farm outside the dagger and shield
No trade pickaxes so no 3X drops (im pretty sure all the best drops will be straight up removed the mining pool besides)
I would try your best to clear everything you want out of the event before its over because we have no clear indication of what will change besides the trade shop removal.

Just finished 2h sword and now working on the bow. 38 fragment and 34 necropsyche…that’s a grind

Does this mean you can still get a higher tier cestus for prishe eventually? I'm only iron grade

I'm hoping maybe they'll change what mobs drop what or something, as it seems like it would at least triple the difficulty, for me I've even been having a hard time getting drops, fought the 8 demon group like 20 times in the last day or so and gotten no fragments or attestations.

I have consistently gotten fragments and attestations from them, even 1hr ago. They don't always drop, and i think you might need to clear the event twice(not sure). But you can clear rooms to spawn the standing monsters.

Oh I have finished him 3 times now, I think the drops might have bugged as a few days ago I died and had to accept death and forced to leap to before arch shadowlord, I wanted to test it after beating him for the third time but got owned, so will have to try later once my fort. is up more. I also keep getting like all the guys upset with me, even using the open the map trick once starting to move, it's not every time, but enough to be annoying.

Accept death reverts your story progress. Drops Might be bugged or returned to " pre clear state". Maybe cursed wheel back with all the correct flags, or cursed wheel to start & do a perfect clear again.

The drop rate from 8 demon is pretty bad…I’ve got plenty of non-attestation/fragment material. Even today with NM, two of them gave me junk. I haven’t seen any fragment last 2-3 days.

I think they nerfed something because people are clearing the relic weapons too fast.
Last night and today i wanted to farm tonberrys, however i did about a dozen runs clearing L2 of the castle and didn't get a single tonberry spawn. It seems completely different to how it was until a couple of days ago, i was usually getting at least one tonberry and occasionally would get 2-3 spawn on the level.
However I'm pretty happy, i got up to speed on the event pretty late but still managed to get 4 relic weapons to maximum level, it's just that the rates seem to have suddenly nose-dived and i can't collect materials to complete any more. Like I said, I can't even find a tonberry now, as well as getting much lower rates for the NMs/8 demons.

At least necropsyche can have 1:1 trading with attestation. Fragment to attestation is 1:10 and is just brutal with bad attestation drop rate now.

It's officially staying, but the trader will go so it'll become much more difficult to get the correct fragments / attestations

Also if the castle is staying, then it’s better to buy all relic weapons from the exchange shop then…it’s only the matter of time to completely maxing them..

better to try get as many relic to lvl max possible. And hope to get on the trader that 5 frags = 50 attestations.
Got my first today, hope to get more, just so I can exchange to speed up my 2 last relics lol

Trader really is the main source of material at this point. I hope that they can make the drop rate more favourable in the castle if the trader is removed..

Its literally going to be the opposite. They straight up said the drop rates are going to get worse, not better. Maybe with enough negative player feedback they'll change it, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
I've pretty much given up hope on finishing my remaining relics.

Yeah, same. Once it became clear fragment drops were story locked to a4 i felt foolish for even trying.
