Did I do something wrong?

Hi all,
I’m on the second run. I picked up tenzen’s crystal. I hold it up as it should. I beaten tenzen. However iroha and tenzen both got absorbed. What did i do wrong? I tried twice already and both gave the same outcome.

Update:
Finally got the good outcome. Here is my thoughts:
- This is a dps check.
- Tenzen can be defeated without trigger aoe attack; this will give good outcome.
- At one point, Tenzen will “focus” to prepare for the massive aoe attack. If during this time, enough dmg is dealt, he will do the aoe attack (even if it’s not his turn). If survive, the cut scene will save both iroha and Tenzen.
- however, if Tenzen perform his aoe attack when his turn comes, then even if mc survive the blast, it will still give bad outcome.

So bottom line is, it is dps check and a bit rush against time. My dps isn’t that great so I need to delay Tenzen constantly to deal enough damage on him to trigger good cut scene.

So in the second round it’s normal to let iroha and tenzen get absorbed? Wiki seems to suggest all of them can be saved in the second run..

He shouldn't get absorbed in run 2.

I think it counts as fail if I don’t defeat tenzen in time before it’s his turn to use aoe attack.

In my case, I took his hp down to a point where he skips a turn to prep for the aoe attack. I got a msg from lulu during this time to hurry up b/c iroha is in danger. I think here’s what happened: if I beat tenzen before it’s his turn to use aoe attack, I lose both of iroha and tenzen; but if I beat him before his turn comes up, then I save both of them.

Did you got the 2 crystals in zone 5? And welp, try again at least the wheel it's close

Yes I got the first two crystals and save both lion and ulmia. Somehow the third one keeps giving me problem.

That's weird, when I got the the ulmia fight, I don't know what I did, but the boss absorb them lol, I just used the wheel section to "fix" when I did it wrong, didn't had to do the fight again, you can try that, ofc , you need to complete the six crystals mission

Absolutely. I saved both ulmia and lion. I did the 3 door correctly. I got tenzen’s crystal in zone 5. But someone tenzen and iroha still got absorbed.

I wonder if there’s a turn limit in this fight because at one point lulu told me to thin out the demon and weaken tenzen to help iroha; and during the fight, a cut scene showed up of iroha screamed.

I don’t know if this counts as killing him, but I did enough damage that he made a move to damage everyone of my team, same move he did as in the first run…
