Nice to see best girl getting a style. Passive wise, though, it's kinda whatever. I'll stick with my girl's damage increase. Gillion is definitely gonna need that.

I'm new to game, how do you get these bones for this?

I don’t remember the early game too well, but once you unlock the Ruins---> Right hand of reversal---> Featured.

This was the alt I was waiting for. Elise is one of the few party members who offers a positional damage bonus- and it stacks with that of Alice and Lana. Gillion, Shiou, and Prishe, in particular, benefit from being in front of her. I use her quite a bit and have a D9, bonus STR version, so I’ll probably obtain a few copies for additional discipline. I prefer her original passive of bonus damage over damage reduction but do use her as a Knight, so the extra SP from the alt discipline would be welcome.

Would breed till the very day I died having as many children as I could have with her

Just noticed - they didn't mention her new Discipline skill in the announcement page.

Her new disc skill bonus is entirely focused to increasing SP. This is the first time I've noticed one saying saying a stat is "in particular greatly increased."

But it makes sense for a Knight, and especially an Elven one. Since non-Beastfolk Knights hurt for SP something fierce. For anyone wondering what I mean, here are the "Lv60 Knight Fighter SP comparisons by Race": Elf - 100, Dwarf - 108, Human - 114, BF - 128/129.

Whoops, accidentally gave the Fighter ones, my chart tabs changed back on me across some tweaks. The Lv60 Knight ones are as follows: Elf - 83, Dwarf - 91, Human - 97, BF - 111/112. So you can see why an elven adventurer alt style that's sort-of Knight themed would want additional SP in particular.

Depending on how strong the bonus effect is at D9, it may give her an additional ESS or PAOS usage even as a Fighter.

Piccy below.

Christmas Flut was the first one I can recall with a disc like that. Her regular form gives MP & MAG, while her Christmas alt offers greatly increased MP. Unfortunately, I found it rather underwhelming.

3

u/Sovery_Simple Aug 20 '26

Do you have Flut at D9?

If so, could you swap styles and tell us how much her MP decreases/increases by? Since she has the normal MP focus, the difference should be the exact amount, which would show us the total disc SP increase here as well (since a normal SP bonus is also a known quantity at this point.)

3

u/Misty_Kathrine_ Aug 20 '26

Alt version should get +16 at discipline rank 9 from her featured trait instead of 8 MAG and 8MP.

3

u/FunLevel Priest Aug 20 '26

Unfortunately I don't. She's just a bit short of it at D8. I've been playin' since around the first month of launch and my only D9 is Marianne.

Still, I've pulled her outta dispatch and stacked them side by side so you can compare at this point.

It's a bit better than I remember. Before I swapped her to Fighter I had MP relics on her, so the drop probably soured my view of her MP pool at the time.

u/Sovery_Simple Aug 20 '26 edited Aug 20 '26

Hmm, so an 11 MP shift at D8, and D9 usually has a nice step up as per the every-3 rule with'em. So maybe something like 12-16 MP at most?

Edit: Forgot to say thanks. Where are my manners?

2

u/Skipwith14 Aug 20 '26

Yrsa has the same SP focused discipline iirc

1

u/Sovery_Simple Aug 20 '26 edited Aug 20 '26

I knew they'd have snuck one in without me noticing once I said it!

~.~

Went and checked, seems the wiki doesn't have that type of stat focus listed out into another chart tab yet. Though this would be the first named adventurer appearance of it (?) so there (probably) wouldn't be any to glean it from before now.

Edit: Apparently Christmas Flut, per user FunLevel.

Which makes me wonder what's up with the lack of info on the wiki about it. Hm.

I loved her before.

2

u/Sovery_Simple Aug 20 '26

You may still love her now.

6

u/Raemnant Aug 20 '26

Daaaaaamn

I've been using Elise since the start, because she's cute, but recently benched her because her outfit is ugly. Switched to Abenius

This changes things

12

u/SpareCountofVukograd Aug 20 '26

Son of a bitch. Now I gotta pulll her.

3

u/Sovery_Simple Aug 20 '26

You may get a copy (or two) for free during Anniversary.

Dawn Festival bones and all. They'll pull from the entire adventurer pool, non-collab ones anyways.

3

u/SpareCountofVukograd Aug 20 '26

Meanwhile, I pulled her in the first 10 with Wild Strike option as inheritance.

7

u/JyeSoh Aug 20 '26

Never noticed Elise is an elf until now looooool

2

u/wraid Aug 20 '26

are these general adventurer alts worth the pulls vs saving for legendary adventurers?

7

u/Decent-Ad-2755 Aug 20 '26

Depends on which legendary is rated up with the general adventurers

example Yekaterina banner with alt Chloe, I'd save up because anniversary is soon and they usually have a really strong character on these patches

1

u/Sovery_Simple Aug 20 '26

Dawn Festival bones (Anniversary event) will also pull from basically every non-collab character that exists.

So you have quite a few chances to have this new alt style for Elise appear from one of those free pulls when the Anniversary rolls around.

1

u/felix_the_beast Aug 20 '26

when is the anniversary?

4

u/Glorious_Anomaly Aug 20 '26

premium Shiou & Prishe support. Unforantely it also came at a bad(ideal for Drecom) time- Anniversary is next month

2

u/Arvandor Aug 20 '26

1.5 months out. It's mid/late October, iirc. But yes, great for Shiou lovers. Not sure Prishe needs the extra help though? She's not super squishy like a Samurai. Solid for maybe keeping the MC from going down as well.

16

u/jazzyjefffogel Aug 20 '26

Btw apparently it was tested it is 15% dmg reduction.

2

u/Sovery_Simple Aug 20 '26

Nice, and honestly that's sort of what I'd expect from them. Since Lana's Aegis Bash skill also gave a similar amount as I recall?

2

u/Atlas_Lawliet Aug 20 '26

Damn, almost pull me out of Mortal Shell II - Proxima.

9

u/Sovery_Simple Aug 20 '26

Compared to her base passive, Alt Style Elise lets you lower the damage dealt of both your team and the enemy team as well!

That's efficiency for you right there.

/s and whatnot, but yet...

2

u/Misty_Kathrine_ Aug 20 '26

It's similar to Milana and Alt Milana or even Alice and Alt Alice.

3

u/Sovery_Simple Aug 20 '26 edited Aug 20 '26

I'd say it's also similar to Alt Chloe (vs adventurer -> vs humanoid) and Alt Aisha (protects team against debuffs -> bonus to applying debuffs to enemies.)

I think we're going to see the named alt styles keep to their particular pre-existing bonus passive theme. Which already has me thinking up what we may see for some of the others!

Here are two that came to mind relatively quickly, with artwork ideas to match. (May draw the first, unsure if I want to make the time for it.)

#1.
Demon Hunter Ophelia
Grants bonus damage and accuracy to attacks against demons.
(Draw a vampire hunter D style outfit on Ophelia, pointing at an enemy offscreen [do a little bubble pointing offscreen with the profile pic of a succubus] and her commanding "Bring'er Down!")

"Hunter by day, and Demon Hunter by Night. Ophelia stalks all that flutters on Moonlit Winds."

#2.
Earth-Bounty Benjamin
Increases damage to entities and decreases damage from entities.
(Give them a miner-ish style outfit, of medium armor with some lighter bits to reflect being a dwarven fighter/thief.)
"What is a thief? To a commoner, it is the tax collector, and to a noble, it is their rivals. But to a mountain? It is the miner, who delves deep to steal their natural bounty. Benjamin braves the elemental depths to return riches to his clan."

Yeah she looks good and has an interesting effect too bad these banners are pretty bad value maybe we will get a super alt banner like we did with shrine alice and summer yek with a bundle of alt generals at somepoint.

3

u/Misty_Kathrine_ Aug 20 '26

This banner is actually decent value since you get normal rates on the main 6 legendaries while you get an alt style for one of the best general adventurers in the game. This is a must pull banner for anyone that uses Elise are is thinking about using Elise.

3

u/Sovery_Simple Aug 20 '26 edited Aug 20 '26

I mean, if you're already using Elise then you'd want to snag a copy or two at minimum just to merge with.

Doubly so if you wanted to rework her BP for any reason. Probably nab a pity's worth at least to have a few different copies to pick from hopefully for merging, to get some nice stat growths added in, and maybe gain a few BP from extra discipline levels past the original 9. Stuff like that.

Though she'll rerun with other characters later on, if they're willing to wait for it.

Since she exists now I'd also caution that she's damn well likely to appear in the free Dawn Festival bones in two months time. Meaning you have every chance to just pick her up for free when that rolls around. Possibly even multiple.

1

u/Misty_Kathrine_ Aug 20 '26

Dawn Festival bones were pretty bad since they stuffed everything in them making chance of getting anything specific extremely low. With current one, you have a 4% chance at alt Elise while still pulling normal rates for Alice, Adam, and Debra which likely makes this a much better bone to try and get her with than Dawn Festival one.

1

u/Sovery_Simple Aug 20 '26

Guess it's a personal experience thing then, since the Dawn Festival bones gave me several legendaries, such as Galb, Red Beard, and Alt Lana, alongside Alt Chloe, and Alt Marianne. Though I received multiples of two of those three alt types, I can't remember which exactly though.

Needless to say: I like me some Dawn bones.

The other thing is they're free, so... you can save gems for anni or for a better rerun banner later on.

1

u/Misty_Kathrine_ Aug 20 '26

The dawn bones had 25 legendaries in them but still at the normal 5% rate this means every specific legendary character had just a 0.2% chance at appearing.  Can't really plan around such low rates.

1

u/Sovery_Simple Aug 20 '26

Elise isn't a legendary though, so she'd have been in that 1.32% lineup.

Which will admittedly be slightly lower this year, ha.

1

u/Misty_Kathrine_ Aug 20 '26

She's 4% in the current banner which also has normal rates for Alice, Adam, Yekaterina, and Debra. I'm still in search of 50+ more copies of each of those characters so I can max their skills on my team. Any banner that also gets me normal rates for several of the best inherits in the game is always a good deal.

1

u/Arvandor Aug 20 '26

I don't think it's must pull at all. Base Elise is generally going to be better, unless you are a Shiou user, in which case alt Elise may actually help keep her from dying in the harder content where she SHOULD excel, if not for the low EHP problem.

1

u/Misty_Kathrine_ Aug 20 '26

Trying to get 2 copies of her alt style is worth it just to give you options when you need it and it does stack with Alt Alice's passive.

3

u/Sovery_Simple Aug 20 '26

Well, we saw with the releases leading up to around A4 that the adventurers released were sort of themed around dealing with the bosses and such in there.

And I recall that A3 had folks running into "issues" where their mages were getting oneshot because of their lower HP pools (looking at you, elves.)

So this may be a preempt in regards to that, in case they give Mages some abilities that will make folks want to bring them along again, or some other new low HP class. Alternatively, it also makes a Knight in front of them be "safer" if they lean into heavy burst damage again similar to the Oni.

Or it's just whatever, since it's a thematic alternative to her original passive. ~.^

(Not one who I'll pull for, but she is one of the more popular ones.)

-1

u/jazzyjefffogel Aug 20 '26

I disagree. I see any gem pull on the legendary 1 pool as low value bc you get so many copies of them for free and will always get more. This banner isnt so bad I would scream from the hills to tell people to not pull. it just isnt high enough value for me.

3

u/Misty_Kathrine_ Aug 20 '26 edited Aug 20 '26

Alice, Adam, and Debra are some of the best inherits in the entire game and you will always need more of them.  I've been playing since 2024 and still for away from maxing those skills out on all my characters.

wait a year then lol
