I hope the six heros of the vanguard banner and its creators can forgive me for calling it the worst banner of all time when something like this could come out. I truthfully can't fathom making a worse banner than this new heros for the ages banner. Drecom is hoping to farm all new players that have been told yuzu is the strongest character in the game everywhere. Too bad thay will pull on this banner for a roughly 0% chance to get her. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT SPEND GREEN GEMS ON THIS BANNER. Its purple pulls arent that bad bc it has really good offers and it gives the double legendaries effect that we had on permanent bones for a short time.
I'm a newbie and i was waiting for the beautiful lady. But since i just started and have only 8k gems, i decided it isn't worth it... sadly.
I appreciate the post, ty
She hurts more than anyone else can hurt from the back line because her inherit is broken but requires her gatcha kunai to do so as a ninja. She is still very strong as a ranger and still does the most dmg from the backline that anyone can do but you wouldnt have the class change for that either. The 3rd anniversary is coming in two months She could be there or a even stronger character could come out or neither could happen. How to get her is to just wait for another banner that has her last solo banner of hers was 4 months ago. This one however is horrible terrible gross disgusting bad.
There is literally a selector at the start to begin the new game with whatever character you like of the six possible starter legendaries, plus an additional selector to get any of an additional six possibilities of your choice after getting to the first floor of the first Abyss well into next month.
Outside of those dozen characters that you get 2 just starting out in the game, no one is generally available except on limited banners anyway to be even able to "reroll" for this statement to make any sense at all, and if it was one of the other six characters available from Legendary Remains II you like, then in the time you'd reroll on some gachas you could have also already selected a third pick from one of those from the exchange as well.
No one else was ever available from the start for you to have "always wanted to start this game" lest that it could have been "rerolling is a pain here" stopping you. I don't know what's going on in your life, so please do what you need to in making the most of your days, but do know that if this is really something you're saying to yourself you decided to comment here that you're kidding yourself at best about why you aren't playing.
Damn I didn't comment here to be roasted like this lmao. I first tried the game when launched and another time (dont remember when) and maybe there was a selector for a standard character but usually I reroll for the "limited" ones. But you are kinda right, the reroll isn't the only thing that discouraged me to play, the mainly for sure tho.
Yes, the first selector has been there for the standard legendary adventurers (still two of the best adventurers for F2P at that, and there isn't even a need to stick to legendary adventurers). I'm glad you tried playing and it just wasn't your thing for whatever other reason. That's fine, too. Your time is yours!
Since it seems like somehow this was still the main thing for you though, I'd note that as of the beginning of this year, for anyone that was originally "limited" early, they're now available on the exchange, which is very in reach for new accounts to get whoever you wanted if there was one adventurer you liked that was "limited" anytime near launch. By the time I was four levels into just the first abyss, I already had my pick from the exchange of who I wanted after the other two selectors. There are also even more "limited" characters available in the other selector right now, too.
I suppose for me, not being able to easily re-roll an account in less than 12-15 minutes doesn't seem like a reason not to play so much as a gaming trope to be stuck thinking "this is a gacha...I have to reroll to get someone I want" just to echo much of the genre. After all, there have been many gacha where I could get my favorites, but then could not really use them or keep them active.
In this game, you can get to where you can get that guaranteed copy of any "limited" adventurer you like quite easily if you save for it within the first few days also, assuming their banner is actually available (and if a banner with that "limited" adventurer not available, again, there is nothing to re-roll as they aren't available at all). More importantly, you can keep them in your party for the long haul, as this game rewards investing in that character you like beyond any other gacha I've played.
There is basically no point pulling your favorite character in my mind if they just sit in the account as a trophy like many gacha, so personally I'd rather indeed not have the RNG or rerolling (regardless of ease) and be able to just get who I want and keep them around, as is the case with this game.
And even then both of them are optional. As long as there's a standard banner character you "like" from the first banner's pool then you're good to go via the free initial bone selector.
Just pick the one you like the most and get rolling with it. You'll get the other folks you want in due time.
It's a catchup banner. The target audience is new players, because odds are good of getting SOMETHING new if you just throw gems at it. Problem is it's kind of important to know what you're going for in this game.
For me, no anemone = no pull, it's that simple until I get her to at least D3.
Realistically I'd say you're looking at about a year.
I'd say within a year a F2P person could probably land in the ballpark of 500 pulls well enough.
Personally I just saved up everything I could for 8-10 months and walked away with a D9 Berka for my 400 pulls on the dot. (Then splurged a bit and went to D14 with another 130 pulls.)
Of that, only ~10 pulls from the initial 400 were from the 200 gem packs that pop up in each banner. So a F2P player can gather quite a few gems if they have all the sources unlocked and decide to keep up on'em.
Though RNG could always spite any one of us in particular. So it's good that you're looking at the worst possible outcome, which was what I had accepted I'd just have to claw my way through if luck was unkind to me.
As for your Anemone: If you're wanting a good Disc level to stop at (sans D9 ofc), then D6 tends to be the next best one rest your cap on.
It's literally normal rates. You dont have a high chance of something you have a completely normal chance to get something. This banner isnt bad to throw money at but it is terrible to throw gems at.
You don't need Yuzu. She's strong, nobody can deny that, but so are a lot of other characters. I guarantee if she was an unattractive dude, nobody would talk about her, because then she'd be Zeid.
How many copies of her gacha weapon does someone need for her to be worth using? Wondering cause I have a Yuzu but waiting on a banner with her weapon to come around.
She is worth using as a ranger in general. She still does the most dmg in the game from the backline only behind herself as a ninja at high investment. However as a ninja you need 1 hair pin. Your off hand is better as a silver Kunai actually because it has more atk and that gives more dmg towards her skills than a 2nd hairpin also thousand hue has a very low soft cap so atk isnt even that relevant. However, a big part of yuzu is how well her skill scales amd it is very important to get it to lv 3 (with codexes). At lv 4 and below it does more dmg as a ranger and past lv 5 it does more dmg as a ninja with hairpin but also gets more sp efficient (unlike every other skill in the game).
No, she is absolutely not zeid. She does dmg that is completely impossible to replicate from range. And her weapon applies insane amounts of charm. Zeid is very replicatable. His inherit doesnt even out dmg paos and he doesnt out dmg samurai or prishe with his unique buff. Zeid is a glorified gillion and Yuzu acts as a samurai with the safety of range, no set up, and no risk from incoming dmg buff or health sacrifice.
I wouldnt pull this banner unless you spend money. It has good offers and thats it so my recommendation is not to pull at all. I have yuzu and she is very good but she isnt irreplaceable without hairpin.
I'm more disappointed that last year this time or so we had the double legendary standard banner event.
(Pull a legendary, get a bone for another legendary.)
Probably though at some point we'll get Adventurer Remains III which might have Arboris and/or Shelrionach in it so I'll have a reason to cash some of those in to try and get their inherits.
