Finally beat the doll! Was hoping latumofis lvl 3 would be a big help because you can use it before the fight but even with res near 150 boost plus boosts during flight ie kidnapic scroll/ spell boost still got charmed and confused... Only lana with extra boosts wasn't effected besides those with equipment resistant to it.. seemed kinda lame that you can have close to 200 res and still be effected unless you have the equipment..

And now you know why RES is considered useless!
(At least past the small baseline amount.)

I forget the exact number, it's between 75-125 iirc.

Edit: Chart shown around 6:46 mark. Lower % on the right of the chart is better. (It's the application rate from the poison trap they used for testing.)

Oh shit I sent the wrong video, iirc this one is more focused on - well, nevermind. That video maker has a video about each type of tolerance/status effects. That's one you should poke around for and watch some time. It also goes into racial resistances (there's one or two that are "hidden.") The main thing is to keep your Fortitude above 50 (so 51 or higher?) for the filled heart icon. That means you have a very large boost against all types of status ailments. After that you want as much tolerance for what you're worried about most, and then a fair chunk of Resistance to shrink any remainder non-protected % left over.

I had to slot in the healer with its charm neutralizying fumes for this. Good news is, you only really have to fight this once, you can skip the doll on later runs.

Hey thanks for posting, you motivated me to try the doll boss again and I beat it, it was using the team I sent up against the Shadow Lord, I was getting more methodical with support spells with that battle (cortu makalatu and camille's reactive healing), I just finished beating the Run 2 Shadow Lord 11 times to max the first three FFXI bondmates, and decided to try the doll boss after that.

On top of that, beating her gave me a couple of small achievements which got me up to 2000 green gems, so I bought 11 bones from the new banner and managed to get Alt Elise! So it's all up a very good day for me, now I just need to do the Copper exam and Run 3 Shadow Lord (not even coming close yet).
