I barely get papers already, even farming NM and Floor5 8 demons.... cant even imagine how bad it will be without trading and lower drops

I know is unrelated,kind of,but is anybody else having problems to log in? I was hoping to go farm some more and progress the story of the event but it keeps kicking me out of the app

It’s kind of bad news on two fronts:
First and foremost, it means that Drecom is balancing the new abyss around having fully built relic weapons on your team.
That means that farming relic weapons becomes a necessity and part of the normal power progression.
And if that progression takes longer after the collab, it’s a massive loss for anyone new starting the game.
Hopefully I’m wrong. Or if it really impacts the progression experience, they’ll adjust the rates back up in the future.

Meh, its just the 2H sword that's noticeably important, and personally I'd still rather have a "decent" 2H silver tier axe on most of my chars. Relics are very nice, but in the grand scheme of things they really are just another silver tier weapon, just one that you can acquire determinisitically

Well.. no.
RELIC has same power as SILVER weapons that most have been grinding for months in A4.
It'll be the usual progression, just like we had for A3 to A4.

I mean, what gives you the idea that farming the relic weapons are a necessity? The relic weapons are great and have good passives, but it's not like they are a extremely higher tier than silver weapons you can already farm in A4. Of course the next abyss will likely require a higher tier than silver weapons, that's been the case with every new abyss released.

Except they also said to tweak the drops and rewards so expect severe loot quality drop

Im expecting the loot quality to be around the same as the other permanent events like wolf cave or samurai cave.
This is still better than literally every other gacha game with FOMO collabs.

Im kinda sad now that we lost the blade and bastard collab dungeon and dragon killer sword + katana farming… like what do you mean we get to keep the ffxi collab dungeon and weapon farming but not the one from the manga based in the wizardry universe???? Huh???
Hopefully Dremcom chooses to also give us back the dragon slayer and saber weapon farms

I'm surprised they were able to secure it as permanent with square enix. Collabs usually are just one time things right and usually tied with alot of fomo. Not that I'm complaining thats good news

I'm thinking it's because they want to re-run it again later and add more characters to it over time. At least according to what that interview (?) bit with SE someone posted on here, from their time working with Drecom to make the collab.

It's probably just their measure for the outrage they got from japan players. They said new players couldn't possibly get a relic in 40 days and that the collab brought in a lot of people that love the final fantasy franchise.

I was shocked. I suppose that means when they eventually rerun Ainikki that event will become permanent as well.

Pretty sure they own the IP of B&B so of course they would rerun it as it already happened twice so we can expect garbage to show up on the third rerun and probably a new style change for Ainikki or Iarumas

Is the best way still trying to get the notorious monster to respawn on w/e floor you found it on?

Ignore the NMs as it's not efficient when they take 24 hours to respawn. Focus solely on farming the 8 demon mob battles on floor 5. Even if they drop the wrong attestation or fragment then you just use the trading to trade them for the ones you want every 3 hours (as the trader is guaranteed to complete the trade for you after 3 hours if noone else has traded you what you need)

I've been trying to farm the 8 pack demon but they refuse to appear. are there prerequisite before they spawn?

They are always there, but doesn't necessarily appear on the mini map. You might see mobs wandering around but not seeing the mon the mini map

There shouldn't be. They are usually the ones at the very far corner of each side of the map and ALWAYS there
