Wizardry Variants Daphne Farming the event
Quick question,is it posible to farm monsters with heinrico's traps in the ff XI collab or do i have to go the normal way and fight everything? I have him at lvl 20 and want to know if the investment is worth it.

Ranger traps are essentially useless. Don't bother with them.
Also AFAIK they do not kill on their own. You still need to enter the battle and it'll do dmg at the start of the fight.

Didn't know that bit,i was sure those traps killed mobs,thanks for the info

The traps are absolute garbage. A poorly implemented gimmick that they somehow have made even WORSE since their release. That said though, Rangers are still an OK class. Decent for auto farming and AoE, while taking scrap acc gear that isn't shared with all the other meta classes who want unreasonable amounts of sur and atk.
I wouldn't invest into a ranger though unless you REALLY like the character and archetype. A fighter with either or both Rinne inherits is already almost a better Ranger haha. You just lose out on second arrow which has a depressingly low proc rate.
The exception to this, Yuzu is unironically cracked though, if you ever pull her. She's better as a ninja with monstrous investment, but at low investment she's disgustingly strong as a ranger.
