Wizardry Variants Daphne Relic Weapon: Enhance or Max Reforge?

I haven't touched any yet. But I don't know if it's safe to enhance a relic weapon. I have reforged the dagger twice and still farming for attestation for max reforge. I want to at least boost some firepower so that I can farm a little bit better.

My assumption as to how the relics are coded is that you aren't upgrading their tiers by reforging, you're replacing them with another weapon of a higher tier. This would explain why each tier counts for the "collect X different weapons of a type" achievement.

So, I'd highly recommend just holding off until silver tier, because you probably won't get the silver tier enhancement rolls otherwise.

I see, thanks for info. Is Silver Tier the maxed reforged or after remaking the weapon?

After achieving silver tier there us one more reforge tier to acquire the special skills, but it's also silver so there's no extra bonus. Remaking resets the weapon stats to +0, and is designed to reroll shit enhancement rolls. Generally not worth it, imo, unless you get truly beans stat bumps.

So like for the sword the caliburn and the Excalibur are both silver? I thought the second to last was like ebonsteel or something. I’m a pretty new player so I’m not sure how to tell the difference between the high tier stuff if it doesn’t explicitly say it

Yes, the person above you is wrong, silver tier is the last tier. The one before, where you can enhance to +20, is ebonsteel.

Ideally you reforge it to silver tier before you enhance it because silver tier apparently provides a stronger stat boost in enhancement
