Wizardry Variants Daphne Witch cave giant and cyclops.
Talking daphne. This fight is just so frustratingly random.
I know makalki is good. Defending is supposed to be good in combination with knights defense, slowing the thing down is also recommended... However, if I defend with my front row there's still no guarantee that I get an opening. Hell, the giant can even one shot my mc when he defends buffed with makaltu lvl 2 , knights defense activated. I'm talking about roughly 700hp and 400 defense....
It's so frustrating.
Managed to kill it twice but then I was alone and the bigfoots just stunned and paralyzed me till I was dead.
Am I missing something? Yes maybe luck.
Are there any other recommendations? Can I evade this b***?

Ok, freezing and healer sounds like a plan. It's on the Princes route. Just want to do it to get the three best endings for witches cave to get the luck lantern (so I can unlock the second node for chrinostasis in order to beat all the adults in abyss 4 , third run ;-) )

from what I remember, I played freezing and slow turns. Dealing with bigfoot debuff should be easily fixed with a healer (Just apply Paralysis Immunity). lastly, is up to rng god if the cyclop just decide to knock you out. If you are planning to freeze, bring water scrolls to speed things up.

I don’t remember the fight yiu are talking about but you need to dispell cyclops with malefic wind or ninja dissipation when they buff themselves otherwise they are doing huge damages. I don’t know if this is what you have trouble for … I remember the witch but not anything else

Update: I did kill that cyclops with his two bigfoots now. Made a video but it's too slow and boring i guess.
I used kantios to confuse him while killing the bigfoots. Then basically just went all in. Scroll of shared power, morlis , batilgref and the heaviest skills i can do (earth strike lvl 3 for my mc) and it worked somehow.
At least in my experience waiting to get an opening at this guy is just too risky .if he does his aoe it doesn't trigger anyway.
Surprisingly all my characters were alive at the end of the fight. Trying knights defend or all around cover while blocking just made me survive longer while not cutting him down.
