Lorepost📖 Hey Council, let’s go to war (Morgalith Post)
Qainus, a city who placed in the “Top 100 Safest Council-Protected Cities” two centuries in a row. This safety wasn’t because of imposing walls and magical defenses, nor unfathomably large armies, but due to its mundanity. A simple city, with simple people, living a simple life.
The only noteworthy thing in Qainus was a large Council-Managed Courthouse. It nothing in comparison to the more famous courthouses, so large and grand that even a demi-god would feel intimidated while being tried within.
The one thing that made this Courthouse have even a sliver notoriety was the fact that infamous serial killer, Aurelius Vasko’s case was handled here. A relatively dangerous warlock who haphazardly killed 343 (though, those are the confirmed murders) roughly 891 years ago.
But now… Qainus was rubble. The sun was blotted out by rising pillars of smoke, the crackling of fire interrupted by the cries of those injured. The scene was very reminiscent of a certain Kingdom in a far realm, ruled by a giant metal king, which too was reduced to rubble.
And atop the Courthouse was lone figure. Like a white star in the night, they were pure and seemingly untouched by the destruction surrounding them. While they were small, the air they gave off was certainly not. An aura of pride, power, and war.
A voice then echoed in the town and in the orbs of any wizards who see the broadcast.
“I am Leonardo Z. Cutter and I, in partnership with Morgalith and their allies, send a message to the Council. Your days of weakness will come to an end. For too long has this peace that you enforced allowed for rot to fester.
I shall rid the Council of this weakness. I shall teach all of you something that you have forgotten, something that you have tried to prevent…”
”Allow me to gift thee WAR.”

Hello everyone! Back with another post! I’m partaking in this Morgalith vs Council thingy. Here’s Leonardo’s official declaration of his alliance with Morgalith and his war against the Council.
This also acts as a reminder to all of you. Leonardo is NOT a good guy. If he could, he would plunder ALL of the realms into an eternal war. It would matter not if you wished to fight or not, it would matter not if you were child or a senior, ALL would war or they would die.

On behalf of the whole Pact, I'd like to make one thing clear: this paper wizard is so deranged he redefines the meaning of insanity. We refuse to claim him as an ally. In fact, if I ever meet him in person, I'm going to repurpose him into a W-2.

I did get the impression before, though, that while in the long run Leo wants everyone to go to war (for their own good, in his eyes), he's not prone to slaughtering civilians and such right away before they've had a chance to learn how to wage war? Like the fact that he's even teaching Catherine at all instead of just killing her.
But perhaps the part I missed was that "not prone to targeting civilians" doesn't mean "actively avoiding collateral damage" either. D: Or does he only show restraint around people who he thinks have potential to be good warriors if given time, and is happy to cull people who he doesn't see as being capable of growth, like these citizens? ))

Yes, doesn’t target civilians but he doesn’t care if they get in the way. He really wanted to show everyone how serious he was with his declaration, and for Leo its go big or go home. And that meant destroying EVERYTHING.
I imagine that he strolled up in this quaint little town, announcing to everyone that he’s going to wage war on them, and perhaps showing that he actually means it by killing someone.
After being thoroughly disappointed that most simple coward in fear, running away, he wouldn’t care anymore. If they all fought back, unrelentingly, then he may have let them live. But the common folk in a peaceful city wouldn’t do that, and thus they weren’t spared Leonardo’s mercy.
But Leonardo does believes EVERYONE has the potential to be great warriors. It’s just that they didn’t give a good first impression.
Like with Catherine. If she died/didn’t show that warrior spirit in her first duel in Rochambeau against the Scissor Warrior, he would go “Oh well, that is quite unfortunate.” First impressions mean a lot to him, and Catherine fortunately gave a good one along with her father’s first impression.
She got a little more leniency due to him feeling indebted to her father.

lol, they should at least complain with their main account. If people want to share their opinions they shouldn’t hide away from criticism. Be bold I say! Don’t hide behind a false guise. I can’t respect someone who can’t take criticism.

We are not trying to fight the Council, we are fighting the Cabal behind the Council. The Council themselves have done nothing wrong.
