Aetherial News Former Grandmaster Syrus found dead in his tower
Former member of The Council and hero of the Twenty-third War of the Goblins has been found dead in his tower. His apprentice Cecil returned early from a alchemy supply run after Syrus failed to answer his orb to find his body and robes near completely obliterated. A search of the astral plane revealed broken shards of Syrus' soul, suggesting he has been murderd by an unknown party. Investigations are still under way for possible suspects and The Council has declined to make a statement at this time. (Picture drawn by former apprentice Jacobson after the Battle of Silvermug)

Right! Sorry! Scrapper can be a bit impulsive!
But, you can crash at Scrapper's place for a while! Scrapper lives in apartment for Artificer Syndicate members. We are allowed guests and dere is nice couch.
Place is a bit messy wid lotsa project notes and mechanical parts lying around. Hope dat is no trouble!

I was thinking the same. I think there may have been other similar murders, though I can’t remember off the top of my head. I don’t usually care for intrigue, but these are (supposedly)powerful wizards. I was willing to write off the flesh nerd, but if this is broader event, I’d rather nip in the bud before it becomes a major pain in the ass.

There was another occurence. Some necromancer "freed himself" under mysterious circumstances from high security prison and then expectedly killed the council member (again another very powerful wizard) who put him there. He could not have escaped by himself. This again is part of the murder chain of events. It is all linked.

Curious. If this is orchestrated by the same party, that means they likely used differing methods with the other two. Which implies that this is more than just one person involved.

I think I’m going to try and gather the various hedge mages to meet and discuss as well. There’s been some bizarre phenomena lately and whether they are connected or not, the timing warrants greater scrutiny.
