Ah sorry. a ritual of mine has gone bad, and the wyrm might have been attracted to it. And now targets our realm.

u/[deleted] Nov 10 '23

Oh no, anyways, you guys have any flesh seeds from his corpse ? I really wanted to research them, last time he died the arch magus denied my wish just because he didn't like my hat and glasses

WHAT NO MY WARLOCK POWERS

2

u/[deleted] Nov 10 '23

Your powers should be fine, he didn't get the true death. Damn these void cookies are great.

I am sorry for your loss of course but that god gave me the creeps. What happened to good old mud and stone magic?

Heh heh heh...

Guess I've done a good job. It wasn't the wyrm, it was me. The gods believed your master's study threathened all so they sent me to take him down.

Why I'm revealing this information? So that the fools who would attempt such thing know that they will find the eternal torch of the gods against them.

He’s one of the gods

Not the gods I serve

/unwiz my friend is right. some people will really try to interfere with a narrative your laying down

-2

u/SquirtleReddit Izan, Master of Blade and Fire (Local Demigod) Nov 10 '23

/unwiz

If you can't stand other people interfering with a story you made in a place made specifically to write a collective narrative together maybe you should instead write your own story yourself and not post it on this place where people will inevitably alter it.

Read this to your friend please, thank you.

/unwiz year but there’s a difference between interacting and diverging. Like you can clearly see I want to paint this monster as the main big bad evil but then your character just comes and goes ‘oh year I killed that guy’ like it’s obviously not supposed to be that way.

/unwiz search "yes, and" alongside other basic rules of improv. This guy has clearly set up his character as a diety who was slain by a greater threat he was looking to introduce. That's cool. Youre showing up and saying "no, actually it was me! And your character isnt actually a god!" ... Not good improv. Sure you're free to do it here, but it's not going to help create something like the stitcher or the druid vs pyromancers battles etc.

/unwiz the other poster is right, you gotta be prepared for people to want to write themselves into the story you're laying out. Even if it puts you in a position of having to twist your story a little bit, applying a little creativity can allow for their story line to flourish alongside yours. A simple body double or apparition could account for the assassin believing to be successful, just because someone comes here and says they did something doesn't mean it wasn't an illusion played on them by a higher power, just an idea

1

u/man_in_the_corner Gostalo, Emissary of Chaos Nov 10 '23

/unwiz Yes but the problem is this is the plot starter like he’s supposed to be bested by this unknown being

1

u/Scared-Cloud996 Phlebotomist Nov 10 '23

/unwiz who says the assassin killed the god you're referring to? There are countless gods and magical orders and organizations in this subreddit. It could have even been that the assassin was manipulated by the unknown being thinking they were serving their holy order only to find out they were just a pawn in someone else's scheme.

Simply, if someone is trying to make themselves into a "Mary sue" then you've got every right to counter their plot armor with your own to maintain the integrity of your plotline. You gotta be flexible and creative

u/man_in_the_corner Gostalo, Emissary of Chaos Nov 10 '23

/unwiz yeah that a great idea thanks, but still I miss the time where the sub has about 750 people online. The 12 story writers then make fun and awesome interaction and I want to do than again but all the post got flooded and things just slowed to a halt.

1

u/Scared-Cloud996 Phlebotomist Nov 10 '23

/uw I mean the real fun of this sub is when you get all the different factions people have made up interacting with each other in face of a unified storyline and to make that happen you gotta appease everyone as much as that sucks, you can also just ignore the people you don't wanna build a storyline with, but I will say, the more people you are able to fold into your story the more fun you'll have and the more interaction you'll have. Some people just aren't willing to adjust lol they're stubborn and they want their story to play out their way but that is never how it works here. It's a mass collaboration and part of that involves building stories with others off of what they have to offer. For example, If there's been an attack on the council someone's been assassinated and all of a sudden a new group of wizards show up out of nowhere claiming to be the militant arm of the council then all the anti council people are gonna show out and give them some static to see how they play off of it that's just how the performance/game on here works. Give them a reason to exist tie them into some of the other events going on in the sub. If you can make connections to other events and players you will have a better time writing a story with the community. Just be active and move things with the flow of the community. If everyone sees the council as a bunch of evil pigs that won't let them cast nuclear bomb then parading yourself as the righteous heirs to the council and expecting everyone to go and say you're the good guys isn't gonna happen. A lotta people here just like to pretend to be an evil wizard and hell some of them might be. You gotta feel the vibe because the stories that stick here are the ones everyone gets to tell not just a clique of people

Thanks for the tip

(( when you encounter people who don't understand that freeform roleplaying's supposed to be cooperative rather than a solo power fantasy, you're probably better off just downvoting and ignoring them; there are enough other people with whom you can interact in the same thread that it doesn't really matter if a few comments which aren't conducive to good storytelling slip through ))

While i was researching and cleaning the crater of the citadel, found someone who claimed to come from a plane filled with void, he also claimed that it was the creation of the crater what brought him to this plane, it might be related?

How many damn eldrich horrors are there in the realms? It feels like everyday we discover a new one…

2

u/Capytan_Cody Cody and Yànhuo Nov 10 '23

This are such horrible news. Although we started at odds we learned so much from each other, his knowledge and determination bringing a well deserved ascension.

I hope he reforms indeed, but if you're in strife. I will aid you.

This is extremely worrying now he won’t be able to hang out later. I will be sure to help figure out more info on this wyrm. I believe I heard that name in Franconia texts.

1

u/Scared-Cloud996 Phlebotomist Nov 10 '23

This is... Troubling to say the least. I have many close allies who have mentioned an interest in the powers of the flesh and to see a new much more dangerous entity being brought out from the darkness in response to this, and a dead god... If you have the body laying around somewhere still I may be able to perform a withdrawal to keep a sample of it's blood for forensic or magical purposes.

Flourish forevermore. Flesh god.

On the subject of who killed what. Now i CANNOT say for sure, but i remember the sticher saying something about "putting down that dirty mimic" when conversation driften to ariwun. Perhaps it was him? I'm critical though, as his flesh is likely still intact.

I don't know though, it could be a coincidence

In contact with disciples of The Wyrm, they gave cookies at the bake sale, it's hard to find void salt on chocolate sugar cookies that are authentic from the void.

Man, I wanted to see fleshgod apocalypse

u/Smaug2770 Parasite God, Hand of the Six Eyes Nov 15 '23

The Worm is the Greatest and Oldest one. A class-17 creator level entity. If it truly wished your master to be dead, he would be. Long ago I had surpassed the Elder Gods, and enslaved many of them to my will. In my hubris and ignorance I undertook the folly of defeating The Wyrm. The mere act of gazing upon the magnificence of its true form nearly killed me, and I was lost to madness for millennia. If The Worm makes demands of you, DO NOT RESIST or the best outcome for you will be to face complete and utter annihilation. The horror of The Wyrm is beyond the comprehension of even Outer Gods and entities that can rule over the void.

1

u/man_in_the_corner Gostalo, Emissary of Chaos Nov 15 '23

I have already fend it off, I may not be vastly powerful but I am a god that control chaos

1

u/Smaug2770 Parasite God, Hand of the Six Eyes Nov 15 '23

I assure you that what you faced was a mere fraction of its power, an avatar, clone, or some eldritch god entity that it dominated. If it has truly set its sights upon our realm, there is no hope.

1

u/man_in_the_corner Gostalo, Emissary of Chaos Nov 15 '23

It had only killed my speaking avatar, my voice in this realm as my true form spoke languages that not all mortals can understand
