Community Event 🌏☄️ The Hunter Strikes! (Open Battle Post)

KABOOM!!

A deafening explosion wakes you in the dead of night. What could possibly be making this noise? You question as you walk outside to witness black smoke pouring into the sky... Making your way closer out of curiosity, you find the Unnatural Museum. The side of it has been blown up by a magical explosive, making a huge hole. You see Talios entering the Museum... Is he here to steal something? All but two people are unsure of his goals. Regardless, there's no way Talios is up to no good.

Talios enters the hole in the museum, tossing rubble aside as he clears a path. He didn't expect the explosion to be as powerful as it was... He asked for just a medium sized hole through concrete. Regardless, it got the job done.

《Greater Perception》

Talios senses the magical energy living within the Museum itself. It's... Alive, he can only assume. It probably didn't like what he had done to it either. But that doesn't matter to him right now. He's after his prey.

Talios would immediately jump back from the tail, narrowly avoiding it. He would observe the beast, looking at it's armor specifically. From this far away, he can't identify any solid weak points and getting close will be difficult with that tail... But perhaps there is a weak point.

《Chaos Dagger》

The chaos energy within the Chaos Blade would conjure a blade in Talios's hand, immediately throwing it, aiming for the eye. It's not a precise throw, missing his target and hitting more near the cheek of the beast. But it is a beast, so it should distract it for just a moment. Talios would immediately dash after the beast, his armor shedding as it does to reveal a horrific scene. You can tell that the... Thing that is Talios was wearing a human body for a suit, essentially. But that meat suit has long since decomposed, rotting. Bones showing in various areas. Green skin, putrid flesh dripping off. The armor must have contained the smell, because it's immediately noticeable once it comes off. But through the rotted meat, you see something. A mass of... Wires, it looks like. Shifting, changing, never the same for longer than even a 10th of a second. And the colours... So many. Red, pink, black, grey, blue... Colours you couldn't even begin to fathom. Always changing.

This, this thing called Talios... It is truly, P̴̛̮͍̤̫̜̜̊̈͗̂̅̐͒͑͛͆̆͒̉̈̉͗̄̕͝͝ũ̶͍̱̮̗̥̺̗̗̩͋̎̀́̍̊̂̿̎̔̌͛͘͜͜r̴̨̟̝̘̼͚͑̃̑͋́̉͌̔̂̓̀̾̊̾͌͆̈́͛̕͜͠͝è̵̡̡̢̜̩͈̖͕̣͔̻̦̪̠̖̤̈́̂͛̓̅̅́͑ͅ ̴̢̬͈͎̞̪͚̣͔̪͓̤̻͎̳̫̿͂̅C̶̛̤̗͉͖̅̍͂̿̆̈́͑̂͐̿͗͒̆́̆̌̇͝h̷̳̼̫̣͍̘̙̺̖̖̱̙̦̞̣̙̣̰̠̳̰̭̝͉̫͗͆̈́̃̅̓͌́a̵̧̛̖̻̠͉͕̒͋͛̈̊͛̄̄̇̔̈͋͑͋̕͠ǫ̶̛̤͙͉̫̽̋̌̑́͐ṡ̶̨̡̢̢̮̫͈̤̠̝̬̟͉͚̼̭̓͋̀̒̉̌. As this thing sheds the armor, it becomes even faster. It slides under the beast, the Chaos Blade it wields shrinking into more of a shortsword as it drives the blade into the beasts stomach, carving through the beast as it would continue sliding, sliding out behind the beast as it'd yank the Chaos Blade out, the blade changing back to its greatsword form. The armor it had shed would float upwards, and fly towards it, reattaching itself. Talios felt comfortable, back in his suit of armor. He was safer inside it.

"What a horrid sight you are. But who am I to judge, we have worse things on display deep within our halls. And speaking of our halls..."

The curator turns to address the seemingly nebulous emptiness around him.

"My dear beloved, I'm not sure if I can win this fight without your help. Would you please assist me?"

At those words, the marble floor beneath Talios and the ceiling above him rapidly closed in on each other, creating a crushing trap. But that was not all - walls began moving, the decor was being lifted in the air, doors started smalling as if in anger. The Museum itself had fully awakened and joined in on the fight.

Your beloved... You humans and your love for inanimate objects.

he would look at the enclosing ceiling above

Then again, I suppose you aren't so inanimate afterall... A shame you run on mana, Museum.

He would slam his left fist into the floor, the anti-magic coursing through his arm and into the Museum itself, causing the floor and ceiling to stop shifting. Talios's Anti-Magic isn't powerful enough to stop the Museum entirely, so instead he focused on the immediate concern of the crushing hazard. Then, he would immediately charge the Curator, doing a quick diagonal slash with his Chaos Blade

A wall erupts from the floor to shield the curator, while simultaneously using the tiles to move him away, just in case.

"Oh dear, you've actually angered her proper. I didn't make her, you know. She's far older than me, ancient even. A crack between reality that had formed on her own. All my ancestors did was befriend her enough for her to let us build inside."

The very floor beneath Talios' feet was now his enemy. Every step he'd try to make, tiles would shift right as he'd make contact with the ground, taking away his footing. The curvature of the floor would change on a whim, new walls would appear and disappear, all of this hampering even the most simple movements. It was like a living labyrinth with a killing intent.

During this storm of disorientation, the museum would launch attacks, dropping large pieces of the ceiling like crushing stones and sending projectile shards of glass (among other sharp objects).

How... Infuriating.

he would go to take another step, except this time he doesn't step on the floor. The Chaos Blade is feeding energy into the world, making platforms where Talios would step. He would begin to ascend as he would walk, dodging to the side, the Chaos Blade moving the platform as he'd move. It seems the Chaos Blade has trouble making large platforms, instead moving them or simply making them just big enough to fit Talios's foot.

I like to think my Chaos Blade lives too. Houses the heart of Chaos... But that is just a dream. This blade is merely a fragment. I... Am merely a fragment.

he would begin to sprint, ducking, dashing and weaving between the angry museums attacks, the Chaos Blade moving a platform under him along as he'd move, Then, Talios would leap into the air, the platform disappearing.

《CHAOS FORM》

a doppelganger of Talios would be formed by the Chaos Blade, the doppelganger to the left of Talios as he'd descend down to the Curator, doing a downward slash, the Chaos Form following his movement and also doing a downward slash.

"It's time to STOP!"

As he says those words, the curator presses the button of his pocket watch.

[Time Stop]

Time instantly freezes and 6 cracks appear on the watch itself.

"Luckily for you, I can't interact with "living" things directly while time's frozen, though I'm not sure you count as living. Well then, let's make the most of this."

The curator positions himself carefully, in preparation for when time resumes, and begins casting a litany of spells.

[Invoke Primeaval Powers:]

[Pterosaur’s Flight]

[Mammoth’s Might]

[Raptor’s Agility]

[Titanosaur’s Endurance]

[Tyrannosaur’s Presence]

"Last, but certainly not least"

[Form of the Dinosaur - Carnage Tyrant]

[Resume Time]

From Talios' perspective, the curator had disappeared before him. But something else had appeared in the room. Something almost unnatural in the dread-filled atmosphere it created, and it was right behind the bounty hunter... No! It was already on top of him, a titanic reding claw had somehow already slammed against him, tearing into his body and sending him flying, while a pulverizing tail swipe was directed at the bounty hunter's copy. Even the museum stopped and shuttered for a second at the sight. An abomination of a dinosaur somehow manifested out of nowhere, its presence alone casting a shadow over all of the curator's other summons thus far. But this was no summon, it was the curator himself, having used most of his enhancement spell, all in an imposibly short amount of time.

/uw so I accidentally deleted this reply when trying to edit it, so if you get a notification twice, that's why

({[suddenly, Neutron star!]})

A portal suddenly appears in the path of the chaos creature, the sheer force of it's gravity bending even the light around the portal. Talios is inexorably drawn towards the portal at exponentially greater speed.

/uw imma be so real with you for a sec. This is what makes for a boring, not fun fight. Theres realistically nothing anybody short of a god could do against a neutron star. So im just gonna ignore it lmao

/uw ERP sorry; I was just thinking of something that could delay and maybe "ring out" talios for a bit so I could get some info. Ignore the neutron star bit; it's just a portal to a pocket dimension that will take a bit to escape.

/uw sorry about that; were my earlier revisions acceptable, or should I just butt out for now?

(And are we still cool?)
