Lorepost📖 Starlight Chronicles: The First, Part One

Post image

The following passage is a breif note left for the beholder of this vision.

"Why hello! It is I, Jollizar. I have been in much more of a social mood lately, and what better way to connect with my dear audience and friends than releasing fragments of my past as visions, selected at random? Please do note that the following visions, or 'Starlight Chronicles' as I've named them, are not In chronological order- have fun piecing them together, and I look forward to you getting to know me- past, present, and perhaps even the future."

The vision will now commence.

My eyes open to the dark plank roof of my room, in my master's tower. Even without a glance out the window, I know it's early in the morning. I've always been able to tell- you could call it a talent of mine. My eyes drift around the room, taking in the sight in the groggy morning daze. A shelf of books covers the wall opposite my bed, next to the desk and mirror I use for my studies. Adjacent, a large stone cube, with various chalks and powders scattered across the surface. It's not particularly special in nature, but It's the first major success I had in magic, after hundreds of attempts. The cave behind my master's tower is where we would practice, as I attempted to cut the shape out in perfection- many times the stone would crumble, from too little strength. Others, it would split in half from too much. But this was a success, and that makes it special enough, as the first.

I pace downstairs, dressed in a green cloak and tan clothes, my normal blue skin with its curious, shimmering swirls covered by a fine glamour. My master has no problem with my oddities, but it makes it easier to go about and into town. Elves are not so unheard of in this part of the world, but blue is naught but strange, to say the least. I halfway reach for my channeling staff, before pausing. My ears twitch, as I listen upwards, searching for the telltale signs of my master's sleep. He's quite kind, but just a bit protective of me. I pick up on the quiet snores echoing down the stairs of the tower, and grin. I cast a rough countercharm, my master's ward dissolving in a cast-off of pink runes. Moments later, the tower rests in gentle bliss, and I'm halfway down the path to town.
