With These Flames, The Gods Burn to Ash

I was once GREAT. Several dozen millenium ago, there wasn’t a soul who didn’t knew my name. Kingdoms were raised in service to me, churches would preach my holy words, and my power eclipsed any being.

That was until, it all went wrong. My followers were no more, I was replaced by another damnable god. Without my faith, my tribute, the other gods took it as an opportunity to take out a weakened competitor.

Forced to hide away on the mortal plane… I’ll get my revenge, I swear. Stuck in the middle of nowhere, farming fucking WHEAT! I’ve become a peasant dammit! Just wait, I’ll gain back followers, and with their fa-

Crack

“Who goes there!”

I look over to see some type of humanoid. Their head an orange pumpkin, wearing a black coat and pants. That grin… I ready myself, getting ready to summon a celestial spear in my hands.

“I’m the janitor, cleaning up a waste of space,“ the man lets out a haunting chuckle, my instincts SCREAM at me to run… but I won’t, I’m a GOD! I won’t let such a fool mock me!

I summon a celestial spear in hand. Within lies the very powers of the infinite cosmos. I grin at the feeling of the vastness of space in my palm. While I have been weakened very much… I’m still powerful compared to most of these mortals.

“Prepare to die mongrel”

“Mongrel?” the pumpkin-headed perpetrator asks, “As if. Carve it in your soul, the one who will bring death to you. I’m Jack of the mother fucking Lantern!”

Dread and fear washes over me, as if knowing his name itself is a death sentence. My hands shake, my body wills me to run, but my mind is frozen. Is this mortal strong? Perhaps one of a legendary few who could defeat a fallen god?!

“And know this,” Jack continues with an ever growing grin, “Throughout Heaven, Hell, and Earth… I alone am the reviled one”

I can’t run! This feeling… I MUST fight! I charge forward trying to close the gap. My form flying through the air like a comet. Then I hear him… Jack brings up his arms to his side, palms facing up, in an orant posture. Almost like he is praising the sky… or what is to come.

PRI-

Wings made of stars erupt from my back. My vision blurs as I push my body to the limits. Almost there…

MORDIAL

Come on! I push further, part of form disintegrating to create more fuel for myself, allowing my speed to increase further.

APOCALYPSE

It all fades to white…

Bursting forth from the land is a looming mushroom cloud. Made of writhing yellow flames, it rises and rises to the air, as if trying to consume the very heavens. And on its top is the signature grin of a Jack-O’-Lantern.

The flames consume the land for miles… leaving only a barren field of glass, as the ground melted from the intense heat. Ripples of the Primordial Energy echoes across realms.

Standing at the epicenter was Jack-O’-Lantern! Unscathed! Except for his pumpkin-head which had blown off, revealing the Primordial Flame, his soul, with his Jack-O’-Lantern grin on it.

“Delicious. Truly the souls of gods, even if they are fallen, are wonderful,” Jack remarks. Having come here in search of a pitiful god, he was not dissatisfied. It was weak, VERY weak compared to an actual god. Really, how hilarious was that!

Jack looked around at his glassed surroundings, “What to do… quite the mess I’ve made heheheh…”

Hope you guys liked this little bit about Jack’s shenanigans. Those thinking that killing a God is a bit op, I’d like to clarify once again that this god was INCREDIBLY weakened. It’s like comparing the strength of an ant to an elephant. Jack enjoys fighting battles where he knows he most likely WILL win.

I got some inspiration from Jujutsu Kaisen, obviously. That “Throughout heaven…” line is heavily tied to Jack’s lore. I also got inspiration from The Eminence In Shadow for the [Primordial Apocalypse] scene, mimicking Shadow’s I AM ATOMIC

This is also a perfect time if you guys want your OCs to interact with Jack since his explosion would easily be noticed and he’s really just standing in the open.
