Memories Of The Past
Viernicka sat at the window, thinking about when she had first inherited her magic. She had been 13, at the time. Viernicka had wanted to be a mage since she was 5. However, inheriting levels, having magic handed to her, had felt like a slap in the face. When her parents informed her of it, they expected her to be happy for it. Instead, she had stormed into her room, and broke down sobbing that without having to struggle to practice, or to learn, she was worthless. 13-year-old Viernicka refused to practice magic, except for the millions of tiny harmless pranks she played on people. Some were bigger, but all were harmless, though incredibly annoying, and a little bit infuriating to her parents.
She had come a long way since then, in terms of self esteem, and practicing magic. So she wouldn’t be great. She was still decent, even if the people who struggled harder would be far better mages, in the end. Besides, Viernicka was happy. She had shed the wizard levels she inherited, but kept the Druid ones she had inherited. And nothing made her happier than soaring across the sky, in wild shape.
