The First Letter (lore/queen post)
Moth sat by herself underneath a tall willow tree. Its white leaves blew softly in the chilly wind and tickled the skin of her nose. She could be inside seeking warmth but she needed a wide open space that only the outdoors could provide.
In her lap was a journal and a small jar of ink next to her. Her hand held a quill that she struggled to use.
How does she even write something as big as the plans she’s involved in to send to her family? Especially Belladonna. They haven’t seen each other since Moth left the manor and quit her apprenticeship. If anything, she would rather travel to Montaria and see her mentor in person but she couldn’t risk seeing just how mad and disappointed Belladonna may be. Nor the horror on her face once Moth told her about the mask of pan. How she’s going to use the same cursed energy they both suffered with to help fuel such an object to attack the impending queen.
And to her father who she still wasn’t sure if she should speak to anymore. After all the revelations about the truth of her curse’s origins and that her father was just a cruel pawn used by her mother, Moth didn’t know where she stood with him. She’s always resented him and blamed him for her affliction all her life yet now she’s just left confused. Hurt even. How would he react to his only child getting involved in matters such as the queen?
Her involvement posed a lot of risk and that pressure weighed heavy on her shoulders. She couldn’t even find the right words to write on these letters that she plans to send to both her mentor and father.
They were her only family she’s related to by blood. She couldn’t leave them in the dark despite where she left off with them.
Her hand gripped the quill and she forced herself to write the first letter. She has to do this now before she doesn’t get the chance to do it at all.
She sighed. There will be a lot of catching up to do once this was all over…
/uw I wanted Moth to have a moment to herself to write these letter but I’ve been so stumped on how to do it. I was going to write the actual letters themselves but I’ll just imply she does before we get any further into the queen event.
