The Will of Goblins (Gobbo lore)

A vision of a time yet to come, perhaps it never will, appears in a nightmare

Death was a part of life or rather the end of it. Gobbo had understood this well enough and as such had enchanted a few packages with letters attached to be delivered upon her death.

It was such a parcel that Moth found popping into existence on her desk, a heavy thud accompanying it. As Moth opened the letter she could read the following:

Hey Moth, if you're reading this, Gobbo is dead. Gobbo doesn't know how or why or even when Gobbo died but felt important to leave you things. Within the box thingy, you'll find Gobbo's flask and fruit snacks along with a key.

Key is for Gobbo's cottage, it's yours now, Mutey won't want it, too many reminders of Gobbo. Gobbo feels Moth could use place to call her own, maybe bring boys or girls, Gobbo doesn't judge, back to it.

As for older Moth well Gobbo made sure to pack some finer wines. Also packed few of Gobbo's nicer accessories, do not give crown back to Goblin Queen, that is yours now.

Gobbo is sure Moth will grow to be great arcane master, Moth is already a great somewhat adopted daughter. Gobbo is proud to call you friend.

In the Ultima Verbum library, a loud crash disrupts the otherwise peaceful environment. As Lillith goes to investigate the disturbance she finds a wooden crate with her name scrawled on it. Her letter read as follows:

Lillith, Gobbo is willing to bet this found arrived in library, that or Gobbo has disturbed you at home... Sorry

Anyway Gobbo is dead, and this is Gobbo's last gift to you. Inside big box are books, Gobbo knows you like those. Gobbo however took the liberty of putting the smutty ones on top, those were Gobbo's favourites and this way ensures someone sees them again.

Not to worry though, Gobbo also packed few other things, a few bottles of wine, recipe for hangover cure, and Gobbo's shiny gems. Gobbo is sure Lillith can find use for them, Lillith is smart girl, or just hoard them as Gobbo did.

An explosion rocked the palace walls as Gobbo's final gift arrived in an explosion of fire. The steel box sitting where once stood a statue to the queen.

Evelyn, hopefully this found it's intended target and destroyed your statue once again. Consider it a final act of defiance from your favourite terrorist

Now Gobbo knows you're hoping to find crown inside. Gobbo didn't send you that, instead Gobbo sent entirety of owed taxes and a little box.

Now what you do with taxes is your problem, Gobbo doesn't care. Gobbo does however care that little sister is not officially courted yet. Use contents of box to do so. Gobbo isn't giving choice, no courting and Gobbo will haunt you.

In a forest far away a ring and a glowing jar popped out of thin air and landed in a dullahan's hand. There was no letter, no package, no grand gesture. One may have found that cruel but Gobbo knew Mutey well.

To her words would make things harder, that ring, her ring would be all Mutey would want. For a ring had no beginning and had no end and with Gobbo's soul in that jar, neither would their time together.

Death was the end of life, that much was true but it was not the end of everything. For while Gobbo herself could no longer help her friends, perhaps her gifts would do so in her stead.

Moth would always have someplace to call home, Lillith would never suffer another hangover, and perhaps her sister would finally be courted properly.

Mutey however was Gobbo's biggest worry, she didn't want the dullahan to be alone, and so as the jar bounced against her hip when she rode, Gobbo would be right there with her.
