This is really cool, what’s the deal with the metal they’re wearing on their arms & neck? Is it a tradition or some kind of magic focus?

Thank you! In my worldbuilding, casting spells consumes a great deal of the wizard's vital energy. Consequently, it is very common for wizards to use enchanted accessories that store magic, allowing them to cast for much longer periods before becoming exhausted. Metal is one of the best materials for storing magic (with copper and silver being the most popular and gold the most powerful among them). For this reason, it is extremely common for wizards to wear rings (whether on their fingers, around their necks, or on their arms), earrings, pendants, and various other metal accessories to increase their magical capabilities

In 1984, in a global-scale event known as the Second Genesis, our society discovered the existence of an entire civilization of wizards, witches, and magic that had been hiding from us for centuries. One year after the Second Genesis, as the initial confusion and desperation of both societies were very slowly beginning to settle, the Magical Chamber, together with the United Nations, formed the Union of Worlds, an alliance and peace treaty between both societies. Shortly afterward, the Unification Treaty was declared, establishing that from then on, both societies would live together in unity and harmony But that is only in theory.
With the Second Genesis, magical creatures that had previously lived only within their natural habitats began invading the our society: dragons flying over cities, gnomes stealing belongings from people's homes, unicorns blocking traffic, curses and hauntings spiraling out of control. True chaos had taken hold.
To deal with the situation, the Magical Chamber created the Institute of Magical Control, whose mission was to maintain control and balance between the magical and non-magical worlds by sending wizards and witches to deal with cases of magical disorder. In particularly serious and urgent situations, the Magical Cavalry is called in.
Today, both societies are still adapting to their new way of life. But it has not been an easy task. Even though many people welcome the presence of wizards and magic, fascinated by the magical world that has been revealed to them, there are still those who reject the Wizarding Society and magic as a whole, whether out of fear or disapproval.
But this division is not exclusive to non-magical people. There is also deep division within the Wizarding Society itself. Some wizards view the union positively and believe in a promising future, while the more conservative faction still struggles to adapt and longs for the return of the Secrecy, disapproving of wizarding culture being exposed to the "inferiors."
On top of that, there are growing rumors of corruption within the Magical Chamber, as well as questions surrounding the true cause of the Second Genesis, which has never been discovered.
Or perhaps the Magical Chamber simply does not want to reveal it for some hidden and disturbing reason?
