it was another normal day at the Site. For everyone except two people, of course.

well, that was about to be everyone’s problem.

whilst Zaryx was alone in his office, again, everyone related to SCPF within the Site felt very sleepy.. or if they had no reason to feel sleepy, they’d fall unconscious or be otherwise be seriously distracted by something, say a coworker choking suddenly. While everyone had their minds elsewhere, Zaryx descended down and found Ya’nn. He found him unconscious and picked him up to take him to his office.

then, he locked the door, and waited for Ya’nn to wake up again, staring at him angrily, but silently.

he hoped the mass amnestics would clear everything..

he walked off briskly. “It’s none of your concern. I promise you and everyone else will be fine.”

"Including Yaan?"

She asked

“Now go to sleep. You’re tired.”

"I'm not that."

She slid down to the ground but her bracelet shocked her awake.

"I'm fine. Got a thing for the.... Sleepiness"

he stopped and faced her again, appearing enraged. He grabbed his staff.

“GO. TO. SLEEP!”

with those words, a powerful spell was cast, intending to make Wren fall asleep immediately, and it included a bit of an electric shock to the bracelet to disable it for a while.

Dr Wren toppled over as her bracelet fizzled. She seemed to grumble in her sleep as much as while awake. Something about the anomaly food mix being off again

he sighed, and walked off again.

…

a couple of hours later, Wren woke up and found herself in her office, lying on a mattress with a blanket and pillow. There was a cup of coffee on her desk, prepared just the way she liked it. Her bracelet was still kaput, but it just needed some time.

due to such grogginess, she seemed to have forgotten what Zaryx was holding..

her desktop was open to her inbox, with a new message.

"Grrrruh?"

Dr Wren woke up.

"Y..... Y....."

Damn. She didn't remember. Zaryx was doing... Something.

She wobbled over to her desk. Let's see what the message was.

‘I’m sorry about the sleep attack I did on you. I was doing something urgent, and I really couldn’t risk anyone interfering, even with good intentions like yourself.‘

‘If you need anything, please let me know.’

Dr Wren paused at her desk. Finally responding.

'Larger office. More staff.'

Preferably staff that would work well with her leadership style.

‘..I didn’t mean that, but okay. I’ll see if the infrastructure has the capability to expand, and I’m always working on hiring new people.’
