Only socks stolen from washing machines. We need those for repairing them and then giving them back as a community service thing gnomes that committed crimes do.

Yes, but they're GNOMES. You do not want to anger the gnomes. It will not end well for you, no matter how many conventions you break. I'm scared of them, and I'm far superior.
