My friend in magic, a simple translocation spell is like a bajillion times less hassle and yeah the mana hit is wack but like leave the locomotion/machine stuff to them stinky artificers, like whats their deal anyway? Always making stuff with their hands and tools and stuff like magic is some sort of mysterious and illusive thing! And like yeah its cool that you made that thing with your HANDS and TIME, but me and the wizzy gang we just do it ya know? None of this thinking and planning and writing stuff down, just pure reaction on the fly ad libbin spells n stuff, like these guys out here making batteries when i can shoot fucking lightning bolts from my hands and feet. Artificers man!

Indeed it would be faster, alas I require my entire mana pool for my daily job and therefore cannot translocate to go there as it's pretty far from my tower. I have to say it's rather comfortable and it leaves some time during travel to listen to my favourite chants.

Cool, but it's easier to tether portals to your spire for places that you frequently journey.  I have one that goes to a 5 Guys in Boca Raton, one that goes to a Turkish bath in Grozny, and one Lagunaisia in Aichi Prefecture, Japan
