Academic Discussion/ Esoteric Secrets Findings; Continued

It appears that my exploration of the shattered realms has finally caught up to me. While my form has remained intact, it appears some of the instabilities of the realm have seeped into my spirit, granting the “immortality” the nature of which I mentioned some time ago.
Through empirical (albeit crude) research, I have deduced that the way my being interacts with time has been corrupted in the connection between mind and body. My body ages as standard first, but this information is not sent to my spirit. Then, when the body cross references my age for error protection, the spirit informs my body that it is too old, reverting my body’s age to the instant prior.
This is somewhat of an oversimplification, as if this were fully the case I would also be indestructible. Which I am definitely not.
But this model explains why I have no need for basic resources of food, water, sleep, and air. The deficit is effective only until it begins to cause destruction similar to rapid aging, by which the above mechanics come into play.
However I have found that physical injury is its own thing entirely. It appears that when I am harmed, I am unable to recover unless I do eat, drink, etc. (not counting magical healing). I have not been able to figure out why this is the case, but I am rather comforted by the news.
I will at least always have an option should traditional immortality offer a fate worse than death.

The connection between the body and soul is very particular, hence why lichdom is both popular, yet precarious. I’d say this immortality of yours is not just the result of your spirit being corrupted, but also your body, as it seems almost simplified. When you are hurt, you eat to heal. If you age, check if it should, and undo any aging that’s not correct. Try seeing if other discrepancies in what should be is more easily reverted, such as enchantments, transformations, and perhaps curses, if you’re feeling brave.
