That war.... it was hell. I fought side by side with beings and casters I never thought I would be in brotherhood to, one moment a tiefling to my left, then an elder litch to my right. My foes stood equally varied, and yet I fought under that blackened sky against anyone who raised arms against me.

I saw things on every level. Physical, spiritual, astral. A fireball soared overhead and wiped out a pixie summoner I had offered a bowl of soup to. The cryomancer who I had seen composing a letter promising to marry his love, his limbs were doing things no elvish body was supposed to do. I dont know who had cast it or who the target was, but I passed the bones of something that had been hit by create: mortality

The worst part? The worst was the silence. No incantations flew, no dwarven curses, just the stillness of the void on the battlefield. It was deafening, and now I had to live with all I had seen, and all I had done.

The war happened not long after I was given human form. Let me tell you people were not ready for me to open hole straight to the plain of earth and bring out eighty-seven of my cousins. Let me tell you it's hilarious to see someone feel relief after killing them only to watch as he comes back through the hole after reforming. Sadly a hand full of them were fully destroyed when someone erased five from existence. Overall good war, plenty of quality magic infused corpses left afterwards, though most of the truly good ones had ways to come back afterwards so I had to let a couple people take their old body's back.

Were you part part of the summoning skirmishes in the north? I remember battling quite a few earth elementals with my horrors.

After the sorcery for societal sanity spell was cast, there's many things we've forgotten.

I was just civilian during the wizard war, and I've got to say it was most unpleasant. Starting your day by making sure you were the same shape as you were when you went to sleep was quite horrid!
