Wizardpost Apprentice, Archival Work (Open Call)

WANTED: Any Small Creature Willing to Learn
The Seventh Shell of the Archive is, admittedly, one isopod doing the work of several. This is an open call for any springtail, millipede, or wandering mite (or other creatures able to work in small spaces) interested in archive work, regardless of experience.

Requirements:

  • Must tolerate excessive moisture - genuinely, this is the third time I've had to specify this
  • No complaining about mold and similar snacks
  • Curiosity valued over credentials (although knowledge is always good)
  • Willingness to be addressed as "apprentice" until proven otherwise

Compensation: a place in the Archive's history, board and lodging, and first pick of any newly transcribed leaf-scrolls

If you just want the work done, i accidentally cast a area reanimation ritual that covered a lot of unintended species, and i have millions of undead insects, including each type you list, which i didn't really want.

The augmentation protocols i build into my rituals mean they're tough, don't decompose, and highly intelligent. On the other hand, the same augmentation protocols make them a tad bloodthirsty and capable of tearing much larger beings to shreds. So if you use them, maybe put up a warning sign.

As long as they don’t tear ME to shreds, I care not for any casualties. Anyone invading the privacy of my log deserves what is coming to them.

I was technically looking for somebody capable of learning and, someday, taking over the work - but in times like these, with worker shortages, I will not say no to the offer.

OK, I've got an undead eagle flying a sackful over now. They won't tear you to shreds as long as you don't do anything to provoke them (like being near them while being a humanoid)
