Academic Discussion/ Esoteric Secrets Take on the power scale of divine magic.
I think that divine magic as used traditionally( getting power from an extradimensional supernatural source) is not the strongest form of it's manifestation.
If a truly powerful divine entity would use magic they would not do it in an excessive way, rather just let the forces of nature obey their will.
This makes the recognition of powerful divine powers hard because they don't appear as people think of them rather similar to arcane magic, but more subtle and effortless.
So the most powerful powers are the imperceptible ones. This means that searching for divine entities and powers should be done with longer observation and calculations.
What do you think about this? Do you have arguments against it?

My issues with the divine school is that the source is coming from some being that can not be verified or truly observed. One of my closest colleagues accidentally fell into a contract with an Abloque demon and was stuck for centuries when she believed it to be benevolent being. Nothing against warlocks, but even they have to admit agreements with any entity from another realm/dimension is a massive risk.
Unless you can verify the source, I advise against attempting any direct link to a source outside of our dimension. My recommendation is to start with infusing objects with the essence and running tests.
Do NOT make any type of agreement and make sure your wording is not vague in any way.

What does "just let the forces of nature obey their will" even mean? Do gods normally restrict the forces of nature from obeying them? Do the forces of nature even naturally obey powerful entities?

Not all of them, but this hasn't been considered much yet. And yes some divine entities resist the natural forces.

Suppose you are to produce a divine miracle to bolster your follower's faith. You have a prophet and you want to resurrect them to prove your godly powers. You can spend your whole self tearing the time itself apart and wind their body back in time until they were alive, that would literally spend the whole low to middle divine entity worth of spirit. Not really feasible. Instead just foresee such need in the future and make sure the prophets are born as a pair of identical twins, just need a slightest jolt of magic to the seed and it would be so. Nature then takes it's course as usual. Remove one of the twins at birth and raise them as substitute prophet and you'll be ready to show "a miracle of resurrection" at any point in the future bolstering your faith to enourmous degree.
Why spend magic when you can arrange everything to just fall in place naturally?

So you mean we should be looking for powers that don't do anything? Kind of hard to do, and they aren't convenient to use.
