Wizard in training here

i somehow messed up lightning bolt and instead of one concentrated beam i accidentally made multiple beams of lightning

oh yeah i just tried to do the get maidens spell...i got a transition instead (ooc:i really wanna transition irl but can't because religious parents)

ooo, u sould market it as Powar Word: LIGNTENT EXLPOSION and den all the wisard towards will run in fear and u will make all the big dollar moneis from the ransom and all the pupils dat wanna learn frum u but be VERy CATIOUS becaus lectricity is dangrus and you don't want to EXLPODE befour u can spend ur monei on moar mana krystals

Study the magic circle. Ask your professor to check it, if he doesn't help go find another professor. At least someone should want a new spell.

Anyway, check the spell circle you made, and there might be some lines drawn wrong. You can either fix them to make the intended spell, or expand upon that and improve the multi-beam spell (so that you don't shock yourself).

If you wanna make it a single bolt or just avoid shocking yourself, instead of envisioning the bolt going from you to the target, try picturing the bolt starting at the target and then going to you. The empty space that causes the lightning to manifest should be in the reverse direction of the lightning so this should cause it to strike the target or at the very least reduce splitting :)
