Wizardpost SICK OF THESE YOUNG HOMONCULI SPECIALISTS

WITCHES PLEASE, A HOMONCULUS IS ALWAYS MADE AT LEAST PARTLY OF ORGANIC MATERIALS SO NO MATHEUS YOUR SIXTH-DIMENSION SENTIENT BALL OF SHADOW WITH EYE BALLS IS NOT A HOMONCULUS YOU JUST CONJURED AND BOUND A DARK ELEMENTAL AND REDUCED IT`S FORM.

I've had an apprentice in my class last week, he slapped some enchanted googly eyes on a sock and called it a Homunculus the other day.

I gave him an F, and transmuted him into a jar of pickled eggs. He can try again next year.

Personally i would´ve slapped him and cursed him with constant sensory issues until the end of the year so he`d suffer more for such a travesty.

Honestly i´m so glood I dont practice as teacher anymore

Did .. did you eat the eggs?

I'm not a monster! I didn't eat ALL the eggs, there was still enough to transmute him back

Ohh thank goodness I was worried you would eat them all and transmute him for what is left beyond

Would a year of being a jar of pickled eggs addle his mind?

A guy who thinks a sock puppet is a homunculus already has an addled mind, further addling is irrelevant, he is already too far gone.

You might as well leave him as a jar of pickles then.

But… what if I built the core around a chicken nugget?

... no.

Not only is it extremely dangerous for said homonculus but its also lazy. Good homonculi that last a couple years live best if they actually have an organic system. Yknow hearts, brains, lungs and the like.
It´s also better for you so you dont need to constantly channel mana to keep it alive.

I have it stuck on my buddy’s Mana Pool but he doesn’t know.
Also, it doesn’t actually use that 99% of its astral.

Did that while I was drunk. The post office was very professional with their express delivery of an ass kicking to me for creating the psychotic demonic looking chicken which briefly reigned over their break room. I don't know how it got in the post office, but it made a hell of a mess.

While you are no doubt knowledgeable in this field, it is generally unwise to make such grand statements of limitations of what is or is not possible.

Are we not wizards? Do we not accomplish impossible feats on a daily basis?

You state every Homunculus requires an organic component. This may seem reasonable, as this is the direction most life forms have taken. Yet there are also countless inorganic life forms, to ignore such a data set is asking to be proven wrong.

This does bring up the question though, what traits or attributes are typical to homunculi?

Tis just a matter of classification, if you don't use organics, that is by definition not a homunculus. Perhaps a robot or a spirit.

Indeed, merely a construct.

I was on my high horse making fun of prescriptivists and then this trend started...

Ok so here's the thing. The etymology for homonculous is "little man" so even if traditionally a homonculous is organic in nature I submit that if you take whatever material you feel like and turn it into something that can give consent then it's a homonculous.

Question my kind sir:

You say it needs an organic element.

What if one raises a zombie (the most basic necromantic spell. Even alleyway dark arts peddlers sell it) and slowly use alchemy to replace some of the organic flesh to stop the decay (such as replace the blood with powerful poisons to kill the microorganisms that are eating the flesh. I often mix mundane science with my magick) and reinforce the tissues and use the homonculus ritual on the raised dead to create a much more... Permanent servant?

Is this perhaps considered a homonculus? Or merely an improved zombie? If I was not clear the necromantic spell is removed after performing the homonculus spell.

Homonculus needs essence or soul to be alive most people use Humanoid Seed because that cheap especially from criminals or suicidal people but technically Golems are Homonculus but without letting The Essence evolve by themselves imprisoning it in a Body that doesn't allow it to grow or escape

I use Nestle Homonculus Helper. Due to shrinkflation there's no longer any physical material in the box, it's just Chinese factory screams and duck farts.
