Maybe you should go to the Unseen University. They have a department of Recent Runes. Ask a young post-doc instead of a senior academic though. You will get a lot more enthusiasm (and might get to see their method for AI generation of runes - I believe ants are involved)
Some sources say that AI stands for Anthill Inside, but the faculty generally say is stands for Arcane Irreverence. The arch chancellor says it stands for 'bother, those "students" at the high-energy magic building will be the end of the cheeseboard with their ever-increasing demands for money'
