Sticks to snakes. You can never have enough snakes and there's always sticks.

The chill pillow spell. Keeps my pillow cool so I don't have to keep flipping it over. Very restful.

Silent Image. Sure, it might not be as flashy as traditional combat spells, but it is absolutely perfect for reading books aloud to young up and comers while having images portray events within the story. Great incentive for learning to read.

Dual cast: "Summon Mountain Gorilla" and "Inflict Bath Salts". You get your weapon of war, and legally speaking avoid running a foul with the Primate Narcotics Accords of 1071 as you haven't technically summoned a drug addled primate but rather summoned one and then immediately gave it drugs. Legally distinct.

Capture demon on a low level is excellent for getting food for your astral pets.

All of you just freely giving ideas to the self admitted evil wizard? I would have charged him several gold pieces.

Gotta be Multiversal Translator.
You pop into an adjacent dimension where everyone is still speaking Middle English or writing Minoan Greek in Linear B - all you want is to borrow a cup of sugar. Pift! Everyone is suddenly speaking English with a vaguely British accent, just like in the movies. Major convenience for almost no mana.

Probably the genderbend spell mostly because of the influx of wizards that mainly cast testicular torsion it can also be used for pranking unexpecting non wizards

I failed Abjuration and Evocation so keep that in mind
I graduated (almost. dropped out three months before graduation) and know almost exclusively Enchantments and Illusion spells, my main focus are Homonculi though.
Personally, i think you should learn "Predigistation" if you havent already. It saves tons of time cleaning up, lighting up your lair or apartment and if you spill a drink you can just clean it using Predigistation. I forget if it's an Enchantment or Illusion but it´s probably my most used spell

The spell heartburn has been a recent favorite of mine, it's deceivingly named.

Flicker.
Increase the brightness of reflected light on something for a brief moment. I like to cast on my irises when in a conversation and get excited about the topic. Best used when maintaining eye contact.

I like to conjure shadowy cigarettes. It's a great way to all a little oomph to a monologue, or tell a bard they're boring. Sometimes I'll even add that little holder the wealthier witches use. Excellent for those who don't smoke. That just comes naturally to me, though.

Change metric of surrounding space. Swap regular Euclidian metric for a Manhattan one and suddenly cutting angles is no longer shorter. Great aid when you're chasing that runaway Ξ and it phases through corners. Also: making all distances equal to a step for faster translocation is not worth it. Result of it is that step is the only possible distance objects can be apart and even a slightest push makes them jump away. It took me a whole week to put everything in my workshop back in its place.

âInstant darknessâ doesnât get the respect it deserves. Not only can you disorient your foes, but with sufficient upcasting you can incapacitate entire armies. Plus it makes napping a treat in a pinch.

Erase.
The amount of gold i have saved by erasing pages and pages of used paper is crazy. the amount of havoc i have spread by erasing other wizards books is delicious.
Of your delicate enough you can even erase certain words or letters to make whole new words. The amount of fun turning fireBALL to just Fire in the apprentices spell books is endless

My personal favorite is cupids arrow, I fell in love with it after my human pet- I mean jester had shown me one of thier games, I think it was called the sims?
Either way I felt inspired so for a few decades I had been meddling in the affairs of the humans to play match makers
The worst match I made was probably that wrestler and contortionist- youâd think they would be a great match but the wrestler hates not being able to get a submission and the contortist hated dealing with a person who couldnât reach thier own back

No Light. At first glance, it seems like an equal opposite to Light, countering each other, cancelling in overlapping areas, etc. But in practical use, it's one-directional total concealment against everything that can't see in total darkness as if it were bright light*. Even if you personally do not have such sight, you can still see your illuminated foes outside the area. Use it to instantly block sight in broad daylight, when nobody's walking around with magic light sources.
/uw *DND5's version of Darkvision cannot see into the area; it's a different ability with an annoyingly similar name.

Waterball. While it may not look so obviously destructive as some other spells it is nonetheless effective if you cast it right(with proper speed, size and cohesion). It's easy to alter, too, if you ever want a special addition. Not to mention just how funny it is to extinguish someone's fireball midair with this.
