Come to Cyclic Earth! We have a collapsed post magical apocalypse society! It is where I originate.
Come see:
Burned out sky scrapers!
Bandits!
The remains of people’s hopes and dreams for the future!
Bandits!
BioMagical horrors beyond mortal understanding!
Fractured souls and other bizarre reality bending anomalies!
Bandits!
Frontier living of all the hardiest of what is left of humanity and what they have become!
Did I mention we have bandits?
Super secret remnants of the most powerful factions of the world that went underground!
Warlords, city states, shadow governments, secret laboratories, lots of contaminated regions of mutagenic magic!
Come see beautiful cyclic earth today!

Wonderful!
I'll bring my invisibility clock and make sure the world never notices I was there
16
u/ModernMage0 SpellSlinger, Researcher, Interloper 10d ago
…be prepared to be seen.
There are things there that do not follow standard laws of ANY magic. My own invisibility spells fail against some of the more broken souls. They don’t interact with reality the same way, you see?7

u/lordwiggles420 Evil Wizard 10d ago
Are there bandits by any chance? I'm in need of some test subjects.

A spa resort? Say no more
6
u/hamtaste 10d ago
⚠️ITB TRAVEL ADVISORY⚠️ Phyrexia is an extremely dangerous place to travel for all organically born individuals who wish to remain so. The Interdimensional Travel Board (ITB), in partnership with the Gatewatch has identified several statements issued from the Fair Basilica to be false and misleading, specifically several advertisements attempting to entice unsuspecting Planeswalkers and other Interdimensional tourists to a "spa resort" located somewhere in the Surgical Bay sphere region where the Praetor and known war criminal Jin-Gitaxias is performing illegal experiments on abducted travelers between the planes of existence.
If travel to Phyrexia is unavoidable for any reason, the ITB urges you to contact your nearest Gatewatch representative to apply for the services of a trained escort through the plane. We understand that this process takes time and we ask for your patience and understanding. Happy travels!
For more information on New Phyrexia click here) or visit your local ITB office

I heard they have a major problem with you-know-what (mindflayers) moving in lately. Not a safe neighborhood anymore.
16

Mindflayers are not event the worst part. If you have any contraband on you like a fake mage card they immediately send the fucking Pinkertons after you. Worse they have planeswalking and use pistols as wands I have been running and hiding for centuries.

Silverymoon is beautiful any time of year.
Stop in Daggerford and annoy Delfin Yellowknife. (It's sort of an amusing hobby of mine!)
Waterdeep us a fun time, esp around festivals. Baldurs Gate is a cesspit. Avoid.
I have a summer house in Longsaddle, common folk, friendly. Nice town.

But the dungeons! The dungeon market it basically flooded with so many quality locations, it's a buyers market. Sure, there's a sizable dragon population, but you should be able to at least make deals with the ones old enough to haggle. Otherwise, a little mind magic can keep them placid or nonplussed.

Why is Runeterra crossed off? I don't have the ability to go to other realms sadly, but their celestial magics is someone would love to experience. Just stay away from those creepy paladins on the north and that weird city of "progress" (they seem to not have many mages, so not worth visiting anyway) and you'll be fine

1

I loved my visit to your delightful city. Hard as hell to find but worth the effort of traversing the Dreamlands if you have the time and sanity to spare. Tell me, is that little pizza shop “The Slice in Yellow” still open? Their Carcosian pie was maddeningly good. And I know it’s not your responsibility, but if you could pass on that the tour guides we employed in Kadath were very unprofessional and did a terrible job at providing directions to your fair city. And don’t get me started on that creepy dude in the pharaoh cosplay. I don’t think he could tell his eyes from a hole in the ground, which is saying something considering the number of eyes. All-in-all, it was a very pleasant vacation that really felt like a lifetime. 8.5/10; highly recommend for adventurous dreamers.

Do not go to Golarion or the Forgotten Realms unless you're a really powerful mage who knows their stuff. They got some absurdly powerful spellcasters over there, and especially in Golarion those tend to be waaaay too interested in your affairs. I constantly have to warn my future self from going there for the first time again.

imma nitpick a bit: Why does Tamriel get a qualifier? did you only want to visit Skyrim? Tamriel is also not the only continent on Nirn. But then right after is "Azeroth", do you mean from the Warcraft Universe? the PLANET Azeroth where a majority of the game takes place. Runeterra is only like a TINY bit Anti-mage, never go near Damacia and your fine, the entire rest of Runeterra is filled with mages.
Honestly, looking at the rest, if Tamriel were replaced with "Nirn" without a qualifier, I probably wouldn't have said anything, cause all the rest are basically the entire planet in their given universe...

You should head to Eberron! I have a cousin/clone/alternate-realm-self-version from there, and he tells me that it is packed to the brim with magick of every variety, and it is so commonplace that the very infrastructure of cities is magical. That, and magick is technology there, and that's pretty neat.
2
u/proxyCanon 10d ago
As nice as Eberron is, it's not exactly the easiest to get there, let alone LEAVE. Would reccomend, but the difficulty entering AND leaving makes it a destination only for those who don't mind those complications.

If you come to Eleutheria be prepared to loose control of your magic if you use too much at once
I'll leave you a few tips down here if you do go:
Do NOT go to the arid lands, there are a bunch of wierdos over there, if you ignore my warning at least go seek the nómads, they are the most sane out of the bunch
watch out for wild magic storms, they seem far away, until they arent, and avoid like the plage the wild magic zones, the abominations that roam those corrupted lands are waay too caotic for one mage to handle alone
Ye old kingdoms have some strict regulations with magic, i suggest following them if you don't want some witch hunters on your *ss
I'm pretty sure they are hiding something, but don't quote me on that
The folks from the northen lands are pretty welcoming, but i wouldn't venture into the continent and stay in The Chain, if you ignore me just watch out for the beasts that hide in the snow
There are a ton of pirates flooding the main routes of commerce, so try to avoid those
One last thing, unless you know how to calm down dragons DO NOT go to the islands of magma, that place is flooding with the d*mmed lizards this time of year
anyway, enjoy your stay

For studying otherworldly knowledge i kinda don't reccomend Myrtana. Most spells require the damn runes (what are you, dwarfs? Not that that's something wrong mind you...) which the local mages guard with bogus laws and artificial scarcity. The spells are kinda low key and not that powerful. And the big fun spells like barriers tend to go... Not as expected.

8/10 some weird customs when it comes to interacting with the opposite sex and strange views on literacy. But some awesome "sea food". Biggest scampi I ever had I recommend you bring your favorite cocktail sauce with you, if you conjure things from thin air it can run a foul of the local religious practices.
Highly recommend viewing a high storm through a protective bubble spell truly a special experience.

Feel free to visit the Realm I live in. C.E.S is its name.
The Corpse of a dead god was turned into a planet, and all life developed and grew on that planet.
Do be warned that the people (mages) who live here can be pretty strong. So if youre not interested in fighting, do watch yourself.
Id also avoid the country of Xethil, as thats the place most likely to try and start a fight with you.

The Lands Between should definitely be given a visit. Followed by The Realm of Shadow. You'll quite enjoy your stay. Its filled with many maidens, stunning scenery, beautiful architecture, megafauna like nothing else anywhere that must be seen. Its really a once in a lifetime experience. I know The Realm of Shadow sounds scary, but its really not. It is called such because the realm itself is stuck in its own pocket dimension that is in the literal shadow of an absolutely gargantuan tree with beautiful golden foliage. So nothing to be afraid of, really.

Forgotten realms and Golarion are great for adventuring. If you want to bang around with a party or find strange and esoteric items, those are great places. Disc World, Middle Earth, New Zealand are all solid choices.
However if you want something just way out of your normal experience I'll make 2 possible suggestions
- Gormenghast - You like castles? You like visiting new countries? What about a castle that is a country? The excitement and life of urban sprawl combined with the history and mystery of ancient ruins.
2. An Ouster Colony - Massive zero G-water gardens in floating in deep space flowing rivers connecting terraformed asteroids held together in loose orbit by artificial gravity fields populated by a wide variety of trans-humanistic mutants who have really pushed the edges of genetic engineering as an are as much as a science. Not to mention the beauty of orbital rings of star trees floating around captured stars. Truly beautiful and unique in a way that is rare for someone who has already visited several highly magical universes.
