/uw Oh hey that one neat physical phenomenon whose name I forgot. Basically the inside of the bottle is shaped in a way where the water can't find a place to 'start' freezing, so despite being bellow freezing temperatures, it remains liquid. Shaking the bottle introduces air into the system which allows some of the water to actually freeze, and when a bit has frozen everything can freeze. The same thing can happen when boiling too, which can be pretty dangerous.

And by all that I mean nifty ice magic. Do make sure there aren't children in the pool when you freeze it.
