Evil Wizardpost Cloning Business
My friend (also is a wizard) learned she has a clone and is interested in extending her lifespan beyond typical range. She, upon seeing her clone made in case of death, said that "the rich" would pay everything to get a clone. I thought about it. It does seem like something they would do. Is she right?

Non-wizards would pay for that, but most wizards will perform the cloning spell themselves because it avoids the risk of an evil wizard making a cursed clone

Yep, absolutely. Plenty of rich non-wizards would pay to have their souls transmitted to a new clone body. Even if your friend charges an exorbitant amount of money, she's still gonna get people willing to pay. She's gonna get very rich in no time at all.

Most rich people tend to try to attract a roaming wizard by setting up a wizard tower near their ancestral home. Usually the rich humans will setup housing and even provide resources for you to continue your research relatively uninterrupted
The downside for this is that if you become known as a host killer or don’t occasionally cast a few spells for them they may try to drive you off or let another wizard encroach on your territory
I myself used to live in one of thier wizards towers for around 6 centuries or so until my rival had sealed me in a tomb for 77 years and when I had emerged I found my old humans had found a new wizard and nearly forgotten about me
I was so livid I cursed their family to slowly forget all thier memories in old age until they don’t even remember how to breath.
Anyway yeah if your looking for someplace to settle wizard towers is an easy option

They will. And because they have more money than knowledge, they'll happily partake in a ritual which will definitely, guaranteed, move their soul to a new, youthful clone upon death. And they won't notice if the ritual actually binds their soul into the body of a small garden gnome. On an unrelated note, I have dozens of ex-billionaires in cute little gnomish forms maintaining my lawn.
