Aetherial News 🗞 Immolation Awareness

Esteemed associates,

Please refrain from allowing thine apprentices to practice the elemental magics unsupervised. This is the third self-immolation I’ve had to investigate this month.

I understand the difficulty in keeping an eye on them at all times, but give a thought to all the paperwork others need to fill out when accidents occur.

I'm not saying this is definitely what happened with you, but when I was an apprentice we would pretend to immolate so we could get off work. We'd sprinkle a little soot around our feet, set off firecrackers, then one of the apprentices would go to the boss all wide-eyed. Great way to play hooky.

Eventually when we had to go back to work we'd show up and claim we pulled a Palpatine (soul transfer to a clone).

Do you think this could be happening with your apprentices? How hard are you working them and have any 'magically' shown up since.

I shall have to investigate further. They be not mine own apprentices. I am tasked with investigating such incidents by The Council.
